I have defeated the 2002 error monster!
Got in game first try once I could actually get through the start menu.
Got in game first try once I could actually get through the start menu.
I have a 670 (I don't actually know how this stacks up to the 780 but I assume it's worse) and I get 60 FPS at 1080p most of the time. Only time I don't is when there's a crapton of players on the screen.
I know that as a customer I certainly don't give a fuck how hard it is to make the product I paid for work.
I'm getting the "Unable to update patch files. [11006] [20641] [20642] [20600]" for the second time in a row
anyone else getting this? any solution other than restart the update process from scratch?
It's... substantially worse.I have a 670 (I don't actually know how this stacks up to the 780 but I assume it's worse) and I get 60 FPS at 1080p most of the time. Only time I don't is when there's a crapton of players on the screen.
I'm now getting 3102 even though I successfully logged out earlier ;_;
SE pls
can anyone please help me with this?
I cant even update the game this error keeps happening over and over once the download reaches 470ish MB out of the 1027.31 MB
This is why I think this 3102 error is much different from the one we experienced in Phase 4.
670, not 660. And I was under the impression that the 670 was a really good card. It's definitely better than my previous 560 Ti.It's... substantially worse.
I have a GTX 590 and I'm capping at 30fps, maxing settings, and injecting SMAA.
I mean, the SMAA is taking up some frames, but not THAT much. Maybe like 10.
Eh, whatever, probably time to reformat. If you can hit 1080/60 on a GTX 660... then Jesus, my shit is fucked up. (590 > 680, for comparison)
So what's the general issue of today's update for us folks at work?
Are y'all d/cing and getting the error? Or just simple log off?
Is the fix just to never log off, or will you get 9000 eventually anyways?
Well, either way, my GTX 590 benchmarks slightly higher than a GTX 680, which is quite a leap up over a GTX 670, still.670, not 660. And I was under the impression that the 670 was a really good card. It's definitely better than my previous 560 Ti.
Is anyone here with anything less than a GTX 780 able to max the settings and hit 1080p/60fps?
I feel like I should be getting way better performance, but I have to cap at 30 with a GTX 590.

Just a few guesses:
-run launcher as admin
-turn off all antivirus and real time scanning programs
Yeah, same. I have those on .I can max and sit at 1920x1200/60fps pretty easily on my 680 with a few key exceptions such as very crowded city centers, and Gridania just seems to have more performance penalty by its very nature both in its city and in the outside zones I've been to (haven't done much in Gridania to be honest).
Granted, I consider "max" to have the graphical goodies turned up, but I do also turn on occlusion culling and LOD, since I don't know why one would NOT turn those on. I'd assume they help performance.
Error 3102 reared its ugly head back into the game from Phase 4.
I haven't figured out whether or not Culling is worth turning on or not, I've had it off the whole time (and LOD off) let me fuck with those. Thanks.

What I dont really understand is how they didnt know.
They have the 1.0 sales numbers. They know how many Legacy players they have. And pre-order numbers certainly arent kept a secret from these guys. So how could they look at the launch and say "we didnt see it coming!" when they really should have.
I agree with you in that they probably dont want to overspend because a lot of these people wont be around in 2 weeks but now, by not overspending, theyve created a new nightmare....massive amounts of pissed off people who want to play a game they paid they for.
So any improvements?
I'm running the update as admin
I always updated the game with my antivirus on and it always worked but I'll give it a shot
if there is more suggestions please let me know
and if anyone have any more information regarding this problem please let me know

I'm not getting the performance I should be, so your comment was helpful, thanks. GTX 670 is a perfectly fine card.

The gap between the 670 and 680 is actually pretty tiny. I've got the MSI OC 670 and it actually benchmarks at about the same as a 680. They're a lot cheaper too.
I can't remember exactly where the folder is, but I've seen people mention deleting the partially downloaded patch files when it fails like this. Maybe somebody knows what folder to check?
