This is the best looking MMO I have ever played. Costa Del Sol is so damn good. The areas are varied and just really great to look at overall. The atmospheric effects they are using are top notch.

It gets a lot better later on but it doesn't top some of the best stories that SWTOR had like the Imperial Agent. The writing and voice acting just isn't near that level. The spectacle and music is great though!
Final Fantasy VII is my favorite game of all time.
My soul would not be able to survive that slight. Not that Square Enix hasn't already spent the past decade trying to fuck up everything I loved about it with movies and spin-offs.
Uncheck the "Read-Only" checkbox in the folder properties.

Someone earlier in the thread fixed this issue by disabling anti-virus. Another person said that some people's installation folders were getting set to read only. Could be one of those things.Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried some things already (firewall, reinstall, trying again...)
Always happens at 1.5 gb downloaded. I also never even ran the beta version at all. I got the client from their website a day ago.

Try the fixes recommended above but if nothing works you may have to go into the install folder and delete the most recent piece of the download and re-download it. I had similar errors in beta 3 that were caused by a crappy downloader, it basically didn't verify the downloaded data until it was all there and if there was a fault anywhere , obviously it won't load properly.
I don't know if you remember, but I mentionned getting connexion problems, as in getting disconnected from the server temporarily every minute or so (world completely stops around for 10-15 then resume).

9,000 or 90,000? I know that 90k disconnects you if you have Internet connection issues.
I'm sure he means 90k'd haha. I feel bad saying this, but I am really glad I am not affected by that. So far everything since maintenance has been smooth sailing for me.

So I see that the Battlecraft Leves quest in the 1st area didn't dissappear after I completed them and seem to be repeatable, is this just so people that want to level up so they can keep repeating them or do I complete other things then they go away?
I am enjoying the main game a lot so far has great single play and can join fates with everyone or just ignore them and go on my own. FF11 after about level 10 you needed the right party and it was pretty great if you got one but that did not happen so often unless you waited.

Guys. What's a good way to make a lot of money other than quests? I won't survive repairing things at 5k for much longer.
Sell crystals, gather, be a high level crafter, and wait for 2.1 to come out and with it daily quests.
It's worse when you're trying to pull a group of mobs to a safe area first and the DPS proceeds to go ham on them, turning the aggro on them and making the encounter become more of a benny hill chase

Leves are basically dailies, except you get to store your 6 a day for up to half a month.
To counter all the horror stories. I did Toto-Rak again today with a duty finder group and it went great. Everyone but the tank had done it before, but we had no one trying to rush him through cutscenes and when he asked for advice he got it. Granted it's still early on and there is a lot more room for mistakes in these dungeons, but so far my experiences with the duty finder have been positive. So those of you out there new to MMOs or your class, don't be too afraid of going to dungeons if you can't get a GAF group.

Depends on your take, but it's definitely much better at the end rush.
Voice acting is terrible compared to SWTOR, and that doesn't help.
But the music, DAMN.

Thanks for those links! We've been dealing with the exact same problem here. Can't play for more than 15-20 minutes (sometimes shorter) before we experience packet loss and error out of the game. It was fine before the game launched, but now it's terrible. Looks as though it may be related to the data path taken to a server in Canada. That's where the packets are lost. Really hope this gets cleared up soon. Can't play dungeons because of this stupid problem.
