No it's not. Rockstar pays for every single track in the game. They have to pay money for a licence to use the track. So those 240 tracks cost Rockstar a fortune.

Aside from that there is a neverending list of problems that could happen with real radio streaming; advertising, endorsements, deejays saying stuff not covered by the game's age rating system, etc.

In the end it's really not worth it.

The age rating cant be a problem surely? the games an 18 already! But it would never happen anyway because of how big a part of the game the radio stations are.

sorry but, having to run a game 100% of the time, allowing for any Disc Read Errors or overheating, drive wear down and other issues that come with streaming data off a disc, isnt "lead platform" to me.

tell me how not putting the device that would cost me $150 to send it in for repairs, at risk by using it when i dont have to, is me being a fanboy. its called being smart and not using the least stable device to play my games, when i already went through almost 10 years of PS2 and first 3 years of 360 with "cant read disc" errors no matter how clean the disc is and no matter how many times i run a CD lens cleaner disc thru the drive.

i dont see anything on the PS3 box that says "60 more minutes of gameplay exclusive to PS3" both games are the same, they're developed for the lowest common denominator of either platforms hardware limitations, like every other cross-plat game, the only thing left is actual stability and choice of knowing when i sit down for a 10 hour GTA marathon i dont have to worry about anything.

i got both systems right here in front of me, playing TLOU as a matter of fact, but i use the one that allows full game installs for cross-plat games,

only thing im a fan of, is knowing when i install a game, its gonna work 100% of the time. whether 1 version has 1.5 AA vs 1.75 isnt what determines "lead platform" to me and on the same token, my XBL Gold just ran out, if the PS3 had the install option i would of been using that all along, but $50 for gold is cheaper than $150 to ship the PS3 to sony to get fixed if it broke, so ill go with the cheaper and safer bet. sorry if my financial concerns over devices that cost hundreds of dollars and trying to preserve them, come off as fanboyish.

And lol at that gtaforums thread. I guess it's just convenient some people's narratives if they ignore huge hype threads like this when collectively calling us all 'haters'.

Well, if you go into any other GTA thread the first pages are almost all negative.
So I see what they mean.

I played truck driving games a few years before ETS2, they are quite fun.

Anyways, my hype for GTAV soundtrack and eventual PC release is high.

The only two I can think of that you're referring to are the 'IGN GTAV preview' threads referenced by gtaforums (which was more of a criticism of IGN than GTAV) and the 'Real Gangsters Voice Acting' thread (which had plenty of arguments from both sides). So what do you mean by 'I see what they mean'? Are you seriously implying that you agree with the inane mindset that neogaf is a hivemind that downright hates everything GTAV? Did you not see any of the trailer threads? Hell, look at the freaking thread you're in right now.

The hype here is as astronomical as any other place on the internet, regardless of what some people on the gtaforums are saying.

GTAIV hate but more people than not seem excited for the game on Gaf. Not that it really matters anyway, getting into forum wars is very silly :D

I am sad too the classic station was awesome and LCHC had celtic frost,Kreator,Sepultura,Entombed and Cannibal corpse my favorite station

I did a good thing today. I purchased the PS3 GTA 5 bundle.

really looking forward to grand theft auto and many other games I've missed not owning a PS3 this gen.

What if this game came out and was a massive disappointment? I know it won't but has a game with this caliber and degree of hype ever come out and just been a huge disappointment?

And I don't just mean the people on GAF who say games like GTA 4 and Skyrim are a pile of dogshit

If you choose release date delivery you should get it the day it comes out, that's what I'm doing. Amazon has only ever failed to deliver for me once and they refunded the shipping price when they did.

I know (and as far as I remember, it works with IV as well), but that's not what I was talking about. The Xbox 360 custom soundtrack function is more of an overlay that doesn't really respond to what's happening in the game. It's an inferior solution because the soundtrack will keep playing during cut scenes etc.

I was talking about GTA's own custom soundtrack feature: The PC version of IV has a special radio station called "Independence FM" that plays the music you put in a specific folder beforehand, it even has commercials. It works like any other radio station and doesn't interfere with the rest of the game.

I don't think so. If you have prime, you normally have to either specifically choose "free release day shipping" in the shipping options, assuming they are offering it for a given title, or have to pay the three bucks for prime's reduced cost overnight shipping. You can also take your chances with the free two day shipping, and hope it ships from a warehouse close enough to only take one day.

You should be able to modify your shipping options at any time though. I know I've changed my shipping to free release day on other games I've preordered when they decided to offer that option weeks after I placed my order.

(No idea what amazon is offering for GTA V though, I preordered at gamestop for the collector's edition junk. I'm a sucker for that crap.)
