Man, I just thought... wouldn't it be awesome if they had high stakes poker games available in online play? Like Red Dead, only this time you can actually drop into them from free mode, and the money you're playing with actually means something since it's used for so much in the game world.
Perhaps a bit on the late site, but I've just placed my pre-order.
I hope I will still get a copy with that Atomic Blimp, seems like a fun thing to fly around with.

I think every Pre-order comes with it for GameStop/Amazon? Don't know about Europe though!
Every preorder, EU includes gets to rage war in the blimp.
I wonder where it'll spawn.
You better hire a bodyguard if you win, because everyone's going to be chasing you on the way to the nearest ATM.
Dawww, much love right back at you! I'm beyond excited like all of us in the thread- eagerly counting days, watching GAF recommended movies, re-watching trailers, and getting mentally prepared for this awesomeness!
I get weirdly attached to GTA releases- there's so much history with each title, so many things that we grew up with during the series evolution and so much expectation. And I do post pretty critically about shit game journalism or videogame stories I really dislike- but of late, it's just been this strange feeling that this game will really be one of those titles that we'll be lost in for years. Nobody builds an open world like Rockstar- I love my Sleepy Dawgs, inFamouses, Saints Rows- but nothing feels like that hype when staring at two screenshots of GTA V for more than a year!
And that dilemma of which system to get it on- fortunate to have both consoles (thankful for that like no other!) but going 360. Just to party up with ease! How about you?!
Here's hoping at the top of Mount Chilliad.
Riding it as high as the sky will let me and then free-falling out into the depths of the ocean!
Does anyone know if the USA will be able to preload GTA V?
I have a plan to freefall from a plane right on top of a train and take it over, or bike it all the way up Mount. Chilliad and then bike right over the edge and try surviving the fall. On the bike. xD
As long as you preordered you're good
I love it! I wonder how long it'll take to bike up the mountainside- Stamina depleting, trying to achieve balance on the mountainside. I think when you reach the top, there should be a quiet reflection period. And then sailing down the side, narrowly avoiding hitting trees head on and reaching the bottom!
Yeah, all the stores here do mention the blimp as a pre-order bonus.
But I was thinking I perhaps am too late to get a copy from the first shipment the store will get. And a second shipment will perhaps no longer include the bonus (which comes in the form of a download code I guess).
But yeah, online card games for in-game cash would be awesome. You better hire a bodyguard if you win, because everyone's going to be chasing you on the way to the nearest ATM.

I just hope they dont auto-kill you if you start falling too fast.

My friends ask me, "what's so different about a GTA game? Why are you so obsessed?"
To me, and I'm sure, some of you regulars in this thread, it's more of a life event than a game release. GTA's are only released once every 5-6 years, and it makes them special. But on top of that, I can link parts of my life to a particular GTA game. For instance, when I moved from Boston to Phoenix with my parents, I was ~15 and had just gotten San Andreas. That huge life change was accompanied by GTA:SA. Vice City was my and my friends middle school game of choice, and GTA III got me into gaming as a regular thing. IV marked my late high-school years and now, 24, GTA V marks a time in my life where the lady and I are getting much more serious, moving into our own place, getting new cars, etc. I use GTA as a gauge. That's how important the games are to me. I'm obsessed, as I said. I know that. I'm also A-OK with that. It's my very favorite game series and it holds a special place in my heart.
I can't wait to get my grubby hands on the game next week, and start getting lost in a whole new R* universe. Again.

Yeah it feels quiet surreal. When was the online mode gonna launch?

I think he's talking about the big releases. 5-6 years may have been a little exaggeration but I don't think GTA Advance, LCS/VCS really drum up the hype like the mainline releases.
I was just throwing out truthfacts, my bad.
I was hyped for VCS.

It's unfortunate that they'll be forced to rush through it.Has there been any word on when reviewers will receive their copies? I think it was last week when someone mentioned that Rockstar hadn't said anything to reviewers about when they should expect to receive review code.
New artwork! Horrible quality though:

she's not tracy?
GTA is winning against Mass Effect on the gamespot series of the decade by few hundreds votes, it can't risk to lose against a serie which ended with ME3

Wow Fallout vs Elder Scrolls actually is a pretty difficult choice.
Fallout for me.
Guns > swords.
Damn it kind of does. Except this game will have good gameplay too!
