Assassin’s Creed IV on PS4/XB1/PC: Ubisoft details the next-gen differences

I might often lambast this type of shallowly designed and creatively bankrupt type of games, but the technology and manpower behind such productions are immensely deserving of much respect and awe.

Great video, I liked that they showed all the next gen graphical features in a really clear way.
I think it looks really impressive, although Black Flag still has its roots in current gen consoles, they have taken the effort to implement tons of extra things to make it look like a next gen game.
Now let's hope that the game plays as far as possible from AC3.........

Hmm, says there:

Interesting there's a miscommunication going on. I'm not hopeful given their track record like you said lol.

The only reason I think a simultaneous PS360-PC release is actually possible this time around (though I'm not holding my breath) is that delaying the latter would put it up against Watch Dogs, and while Ubi could simply delay Watch Dogs PC into December to space them apart a tad, publishers tend to avoid the month.

Sounds great. Hopefully Ubi learned how to properly utilize multi-core systems and doesn't hammer the fuck out of one core and prevent even the highest end systems from having a smooth experience.

I'm loving the environment. Seems like everything they added will only make a prettier. Sailing in a thunderstorm looks really fun.

This is the Game i'm most excited for atm on Next Gen.

Can someone Gif the Ocean water scene, where it's small waves, then turns into a massive wave and the ship rolls over it?

I was like "yeah..Yeah Yeah!!" lol
Edit: 20secs, and splash with 45secs
Pretty please :)

I'm still buying the 360 version, because the Ps4 version isn't out until the 29th of November in Europe. No way I'm waiting a month.

I'm not certain if the praise in this is legit or just sarcasm...but to me the game is still

ehhhhh. prob pick it up when it's gamefly cheap .

So according to those same devs it will be over 200% on pc right? ;)

Well...

NVIDIA and Ubisoft have signed an unprecedented technical alliance that will see their best games enhanced with PC-exclusive effects and features. To date, we've confirmed the inclusion of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in the alliance, and now we're pleased to announce that one of the year's most anticipated games, Watch_Dogs, is joining the roster too.

I disliked every AC game I've played, but the Running Wild fanboy in me compels me to buy it. LEAAAD OR GOOOOLD!

Mercy me that looks amazing. I remember getting Far Cry because not only was it a fun game but it was also my ultimate tropical holiday simulator. This is FOR SURE going to be my go-to game for my future virtual vacations. Stunningly gorgeous open world Caribbean. Dream come true for me. Only title I have pre-ordered too interestingly enough.

Yaaaaas!!! I like Black Hand Inn as an album myself. I would love if there were ghosts (like the Phantom) in AC4, but it still looks killer. :)

I don't play Assassin's Creed since AC2, which I enjoyed for the most part. I tempted to pick this one, but I will wait to see if the next gen versions are good. Probably It will be a buggy game like the past one though.

Looks great and these are only the base next-gen features. The Black Flag PC version will feature even more graphical enhancements thanks to Nvidia's partnership with Ubisoft.
Can't wait! :)

That looks fantastic. Especially the foliage and the rain in combination with the wind. I wish we could have seen what it looks like in comparison to the current gen versions, although I understand why they didn't do that.

Superior PC Master Race to finally being fully used... Well, maybe not fully, but above half.

Would get if dirt cheap on Steam.

certain versions, for example, will show your true name in multiplayer

Here we go. Starting to get answers on how this whole real name thing is going to work. If it could effectively replace your current username on PS4 even while in games in case Sony decides to never let me change it. Hopefully it's not title dependent.

This part is just awesome. I loved sailing in AC3 but hated the way everything looked in the game in general and just stopped playing after about 10 hours.
