Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

Same here. My backlog is huge. And I was planning on replaying P4G anyway :D

I haven't even touched P4G. I finished P3P though.

Just did an initial run through of EDF. Great fun, unlocked Pale Wing and I'm not sure I'll play it through again. Will now play Tales of Graces on the PS3 while playing DOA on the Vita every now and then. Too many games man.

Now Bend needs to show its game.

Maybe in VGA, I guess...

They have 2 complete years, so they should be ready to release they game (whether is Vita exclusive or not). Although an Uncharted would be a nice addition, I doubt that will be the case with U4 heading in fall 2014. A TLOU spin-off would be amazing, but unlikely.

I had no real expectations from TGS thanks to all the announcements last weeks, but the Gravity Rush 2 news is pleasing to hear.

I'm going to post the same question in here as I did in the other TVita thread as it doesn't really look like it's going anywhere.

I've been waiting to get a Vita for a long time now and with the new unit coming out next month I'm torn on how big a difference the screen will make.

For those of you out there who have a Vita already, how much does the reduced weight and thickness matter? Is it really that heavy / thick? Are reports that some people might actually prefer the LCD screen off-base? I mean, I keep hearing that the OLED screen is one of the Vita's main draws, it seems like a bad idea replacing that with LCD. :/ Also, if you could go back and choose between a 1000 and 2000 model, what would you buy now?

I kind of wish I was a MH fan, people seem to really love it. Just can't for some reason.
I enjoy the genre but I can't get into Monster Hunter specifically. The gameplay just feels way way too slow to me and has put me off it, games like Phantasy Star Online 2 on the other hand I love because it does that type of gameplay in a much more faster pace.

The ps3 games with vita specific remote play(not the psp one) like the ico collection already have zero lag(in local at least)

Imo monster hunter and nintendo communities are probably the two with the biggest concentration of fanboys, now that they are blended together i expect monster hunter to break all the records.

The MonHunt Frontier G announcement thread is rather annoying... the way they crap on the Vita... sigh

what's the gravity rush dlc like?

the sequel news (omgomgomg) has me itching for a replay and i was thinking of buying it this time for some new stuff for this playthrough

Weight & thickness is not a problem. Only problem is stick placement, they are so low. You might want to consider to buy extra grips (I did buy) and those extra grips take room :). So carrying Vita + carrying box & those extra handlegrips takes room from my bag.

Havent seen new model live so hard to compare (about colouring) but I love my white model (AC:3 "bundle model). From the pictures, the desing of new model looks awful.

In any case, buy Vita.

Is sucks but its the internet

I think its positive that Capcom is actually putting their feet in the water with Vita. Even if it is a crap effort

Could pave the way for Portable 4th. We can dream right?

I'm more than willing to make an investment, I was a WoW junkie for 8 years. MH just hasn't clicked with me the times I have tried it.

Same for me. I was a WoW player for like 6 years (I took some rests, but always returned when new exciting content was released xD) and keep dying in the same fucking bosses for weeks, like every other players that does 10/25 dungeons. Played MH, found it has everything I found boring about MMOs but lacked its main appeal (playing with other people, the feel you are in a live world). And the combat is clunky. I'm ok mastering how to play a game. But in MH I feel that I have to overcome a bad designed gameplay first. And I don't want to waste my time doing it when there are so many great games out there.

The extra grips could be a nice addition when playing home, but for the sort bursts you'd play outside you don't need it (unless you are in a loooong trip). The "issues" (if you want to call it like that) the control scheme has only become noticeable if you've been playing for a long time.

But everyone needs to buy a Vita. The main problem is that they don't know it until they actually buy it xD

Engadget video made Vita 2.0 look a lot more appealing. Really want to look at the screen as I still think it will make or break my mind. Everything else sounds like an upgrade.

GR2 is dope news! I haven't played the first one yet.... Lol

My finger has been on the checkout button for the Walking Dead bundle, but man that upgrade is making me reconsider the purchase.

What to do, what to do...

The problem with Monster Hunter is the first 10 missions or so. You really have little sense of direction in the beginning or why you are doing some of the worthless missions. Once you have a set of gear and a decent weapon and just start going after specific bosses I think is really where the game shines.

To me, especially the new one, it's like just fighting bosses in Dark Souls without the extraneous BS. The bosses are just more fleshed out. Everything is breakable or able to be chopped off. They also have more attack animations.

Taking out a Lucent Nargacuga solo is harder than the hardest boss in Dark Souls, no question.

Just popping in to say, as a complete newbie to the digital iteration of the sport, I'm enjoying the heck out of Real Boxing. Have no experience prior, outside of that wacky Dreamcast Ready 2 Rumble game, but this is pretty nice for an unlicensed once-iOS/Android game. Pretty damn good value for money.

Well, I hope someone out there is happy about the MHFG announcement.

I am very happy for one reason

Having Capcom half dip their feet into the Vita pool once again

ITs a start and hopefully sets a precedent for another game. Hopefully MH4G or MHPortabe 4th

SOMETHING CAPCOM PLEASE

For me it was the grind & the lack of proper MP support. Although from what I understand, both has been fixed/ added in MH4.

Now I just need them to announce that shit for the west. My 3DS XL + Frankenstick is ready.

Whatever happened to that 2d horror indie game that was supposed to come in august. was pretty intrigued by that, I dont remember what it is called though.

I haven't purchased the add-on for the XL yet. Worst case scenario, I finally get one or hard-mod my brothers OG add-on so i can use it on my XL
