I mean, getting training plus extra EV items is better than just training - if they aren't limited, then EV training could be even faster, considering you can apparently do it from the start.
This pleases me.

I always thought scald should have been super effective against ice. Maybe there will be a series of type ignoring moves or something.

I was playing Ruby recently and I had a Gyarados with Strength, Rock Smash, Dive and Waterfall, so it helped me a lot of course his fighting usefulness was horrible, 8 HMs are a lot.

I didn't need an HM slave in Black or Black 2, because they reduced the need for HMs. Hopefully they keep it up with X and Y.

Gen V is my favorite gen simply because that shit isn't an issue. In BW1 you need to use Cut once after Gym 1 and that's it while in BW2 you only need Surf, which you should have anyways, and Strength, a move that isn't horrible.This!
