Wii U Games 2013

If japanese developer not supporting Wii U i will support their games only with less than 15$

Like Suda why he didn't release Killer is dead on Wii U or Metal Gear Rising they plan to release it on PC but Wii U not..!!!!

C'mon, this is like Vita lovers saying what you have just said because the Japanese support was not as good as 3DS. I'm just saying you should buy whatever that is interesting to you.

Are people still playing AC3 online?

I tried Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed online a couple weeks back...got a lobby of about 5 players, with another joining during a race.
Really?
I usually don't have any problem joining a full lobby. They're usually new players with low rankings tho.

We should teach Suda lesson that any game he make only sell good on Nintendo consoles.

For Platinum I love them no need to say that any game from them will get day one.

wait what really??!!

They never released a patch, just did server maintenance, and to me, it's fixed. Before I could never get paired up with enough people to start a match. But I've played everyday after work for the past week, after the maintenance, no problems. Full lobbies. I even raged quit a match, and connected to a diff lobby instantly.

edit: Splinter Cell DLC was just announced for WiiU. 2 (co-op?) maps... Billionaire’s Yacht and Dead Coast

I'm more surprised that there are people still playing...and enough people too. I never got to play online...I guess I should check it out?

Ironically enough, I managed to get into a game IMMEDIATELY they day I got my copy (sometime in July, I think) after getting through the tutorial. But then never again. I'll definitely hop on to see if luck is on my side now. Loved the AC MP in Brotherhood and it's the only thing I really spent time on in Revelations so far.

Not that surprising, it is the only kart racer out now for Wii U until Mario Kart comes out and Nintendo owners love their kart racers.

I've been surprised at how easy it's been to find multiplayer matches in Mass Effect 3. It's only $12 at Best Buy now too if anyone was ever thinking of picking it up. Multiplayer is a blast in that game, I had no idea I'd be having this much fun.

European prices are still shitty for that one. Couldn't be scammed into paying for Live so I never played the multiplayer on 360. Would've loved to try it out on Wii U but EA's ridiculous price and general business policies (Trilogy set?) kept me from that.

I'm not sure if Europe Amazon prices the same as American Amazon, but I got it through them a month back for $17. I believe it's still at that price.

I was bummed about the way EA handled the game as well with the trilogy and all that but I really wanted to see what this series was about and couldn't pass it up for $17. I'm happy I didn't because I already have around 150 hours in it and loving every minute. Single player is great too, but I'm addicted to the multiplayer.

So... how is this coming along?

I don't know about anyone else but the last thing I'd do is beg for a game. That's what this is pretty much being asked for people. Beg for game. Screw that. Money and attention should be put forth toward other games from developers that simply aren't going to toss scraps at you.

I played AC3 a lot in April, but was never able to connect to anybody. Maybe I'll fire it up and try again one of these days.

Does Wii Party U has an online feature or only local?

I'm critical of Nintendo for not including online in some of their games (most egregiously NSMBU and SM3DW), but for Wii Party U I suppose it wouldn't really add a whole lot.

My question about that game is whether we know anything about a possible eshop release? $50 with a WM+ means it should be no more than $20 on the eshop. I'd probably bite at that price.

Local only as far as we know.

I think it is local only.

Ah, I see.

Well, the WM+ is offered for a limited time(If I recall it correctly). I doubt the price will be below $20. They might do what Atlus did with SMTIV. SMTIV LE is the same price of the standard game.

Wii Party U is not $50 if you look around. $39.99 pre-order on Newegg, which looks to include the Wii Remote + and the stand.
Preordered mine yesterday.
Also their description says this:
"- Online multiplayer support was hinted at by Nintendo, a feature which would involve a new set of mini games specifically tailored for online multiplayer."

I'd like to get this bundle since I need a new Wii Remote+ and I'm sure the stand will come handy but I'm not sure about the game itself :/
It looks... dull. If it played like Crash Bash I would be interested tho :/

Go get it. Basically at $40 you are just going the game for free plus you get a stand. Not a bad deal right?

So I guess crowdfunding shouldn't be done for games?

And whats wrong with developers wanting to know if there is even a market
for their game on a particular console? Who is ready to invest a year or two on a game
and risk going bankrupt because consumers simply didnt show interest in your title?

How often do developers read,
"I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games?"

Or, when somebody asks what games can I get on the WiiU or Wii, for the most part
people mention first party titles. Developers notice this too.

Sales for Splinter Cell on the WiiU sucked, sales for Rayman were better, guess what kind of games publishers are going to assume WiiU owners want.

Publishers/developers may have missed some chances to bring their games to the Nintendo platforms, but its not like they are getting a good indication that the consumers really want their games.

If the big third parties dont sell well this Holiday on the WiiU, get ready to own a fantastic console for platformers.

I was unsure if I should get Wii Party U, but I found out about the Newegg price and immediately preordered. I have 3 Wiimotes, 2 of them have WM+, so getting a third Wiimote would be nice.

Is WM+ required for a lot of these mini games?

those waiting for watch dog on wiiu should prepare them for disappointment, from what I've heard from retailers...hopefully I'm wrong...

I dont see Wii Fit U and Wii Party U

So what's the deal with Wii Fit U? Is it just new software or are they making a new balance board? My mom wants Wii Fit and AI don't know if I should just get the old one for her and let her use my old Wii or wait for this version...

New software, same balance board. I'd wait for the new one if I were you.

Pro tip: (sounds like you don't have a balance board yet) buy a used balance board NOW on the cheap, get the wii fit u trial month for free and then just buy the fit meter (to remove the trial limit) and save some major $$$.

Freezes happen when a command misses its mark right? Why? Just a simple... "human" error?

Freezing is when the user interface of some software (the visual part) becomes unresponsive to user input. This can be because of bad programming, where the user interface part of the program is just too busy handling some task that it doesn't respond to user input. Usually that's why developers are generally supposed to do long-running tasks in the background (a background thread if you have any background in this area) so that your program always responsive to the user. Clearly as the software becomes more complex (like an OS), programmers could potentially mess this up.

I wasn't really interested in Wii Party U, but that's a great deal with the Wii Remote Plus, which I don't have. Went ahead and ordered it. Thanks for the link!

Indeed. This is why AJAX is now so popular on the web, as it keep the interface responsive while a long running task runs asynchronously in the background.

Please tell me these are joke posts. Otherwise, wow.

WHAT? Does Ubisoft actually want its games to sell on the Wii U or not?

Looks like they go out of their way to damage the Wii U sales somehow.

First Rayman, then no co-op for Splinter Cell. Watch Dogs delay rumour... What is next?

Well if it was delayed and that delay meant we got a proper version I wouldn't complain. Watch_dogs might be a good fit for Wii U but not if it's a half-assed port.

I wasnt considering watch dogs (on pc nor wiiu), but if its delayed and i was ubi hell I'd probably not even bother releasing it... >.>.

Watchdogs delayed and no hacking. Then blame Nintendo.

Q1 2014
Only version delayed it seems

Would be great for my financials but absolutely terrible for Wii U perception, sales and the lineup overall. Ugh. But if the game needs more time on Wii U I'd rather have them do it properly rather than give us an unfinished version.

Let's see how it develops or if it's even true.
