I don't know about anyone else but the last thing I'd do is beg for a game. That's what this is pretty much being asked for people. Beg for game. Screw that. Money and attention should be put forth toward other games from developers that simply aren't going to toss scraps at you.
So I guess crowdfunding shouldn't be done for games?
And whats wrong with developers wanting to know if there is even a market
for their game on a particular console? Who is ready to invest a year or two on a game
and risk going bankrupt because consumers simply didnt show interest in your title?
How often do developers read,
"I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games?"
Or, when somebody asks what games can I get on the WiiU or Wii, for the most part
people mention first party titles. Developers notice this too.
Sales for Splinter Cell on the WiiU sucked, sales for Rayman were better, guess what kind of games publishers are going to assume WiiU owners want.
Publishers/developers may have missed some chances to bring their games to the Nintendo platforms, but its not like they are getting a good indication that the consumers really want their games.
If the big third parties dont sell well this Holiday on the WiiU, get ready to own a fantastic console for platformers.
