lol kinda sums up the diffrences in mindsets between the US and Europe!

That said, why do we in the Netherlands get a cut version? The original version won't have any problems here whatsoever. Hopefully they can give us a patch or something with the missing stuff.

That's not always true in regards to PS3 games. I've had a few games early on PS3 (GTA V, DmC) that wouldn't show my trophies in games until launch day.

You still unlock them and see them pop up in the game, but they aren't on your trophy list until the time of launch.

Pretty lame that the game is getting censored everywhere. Probably gotta be in with Quantic for the original uncut version.

I tried to get a demo/ beta key from the gamestop give away. I am really looking forward to this game, but I am not sure how it will play. I enjoyed Heavy Rain.

For what it's worth, the executive producer of Beyond and co-CEO of Quantic Dream is saying the two versions are identical:

So maybe the German Sony reps aren't up-to-date. We haven't heard from them directly anyway, just the word of one journalist and nobodies. Spielegrotte saying nude scenes in the US are cut doesn't make much sense either, considering Australia already rated the EU version and is saying that violence has a high impact, but nudity almost zero. So the complete opposite what Spielegrotte is saying.

EmptySpace accidentally spoiled some stuff when he read the summary for the esrb rating. the scenes are way more disturbing than full frontal nudity. no way nudity will be censored. not when heavy rain was not censored, not when any game/movie/book was not censored for nudity for the better part of the past decade.

Heavy Rain and GOW 3 are uncut.
But: If a Sony game is cut in Germany or Uk then it will be cut in EU because Sony only makes one version.

Well, I don't believe them (Sony and Producer). Sony and Naughty Dog both lied about The last of us and God of War....
Of course I would be happy if it's not censored.
 
I really hope this US censorship thing is cleared up before next week. I'm not going to buy the game at full price if it's censored.

And? It doesn't change the fact that it showed tits. Which is all rating boards are caring about, terrible executed or not. No reason to cut stuff in Beyond if it got through in HR.

Yup. Ethan's actor even talked about it. The balls (lol) came of his suit and stuck to Madison's actress (the model) multiple times and the software couldn't separate them and it was a huge mess. Lastly the animators had to somehow fix or animate it by hand or something.

Read trough this thread again. One gaffer finished a game [press copy], he says that the ending of the game is VERY easily spoiled. According to him, Sony is making a right move by protecting the game story.

Also some of the best games ever had review embargo ending on the release date.

dude, no need to get infant angry here, a review score of a game can seriously hurt game sales since some people buy games only and i seriously mean ONLY based on review scores, you wanna have fun? go an look for big game releases review threads here on GAF and just read the meltdowns, im down with this game regardless of the scores it gets, many people are not

Well if review copies are already in their hands, at least this way it will be more guaranteed that the reviewer will have put the time in to fully review the game instead of trying to be "first" and skimping on the gameplay.
