That's the thing. I'll test The Last Story later tomo...I mean later today. For now I got work early morning.I'm pretty sure people said Wii U's Wii Mode gave no noticeable improvement in The Last Story, before today's update. Considering its CPU usage in Dolphin (it's one of the most demanding games, if not the most) and the fact that framerate drops all over the place are easily noticeable, I would be the perfect test after today's update.
As some of you know. I bitch about Nintendo and WiiU a lot. But this latest update. Allowing me to play my Wii games on the gamepad is awesome.
Just playing a bit of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on it now. It looks super crisp. Fantastic.
You guys must be pulling my leg. Are you saying you really can't use the gamepad controls in Wii mode when using the gamepad screen. Really.
What a idiot of a company.
Weren't you just bitching about how "stupid" Nintendo was in their implementation of this feature in another thread?
Ah right, you were.![]()

Two different things. Yes it's awesome to be able to play Wii games on gamepad screen. It would be super awesome to be able to use the gamepad controls.

Just a fair ribbing.
I actually agree with you but I can see how that could be a logistical nightmare when using hardware-based emulation.
For the new page: Any implications for the Wii Mode Homebrew with the new update?
I didn't find anything yet in this thread on this topic..
Even though it'd be impossible for 90% of games?
I have a question. I've had a Wii U since launch, but I didn't transfer my Wii over to it when I got it. Is it too late to transfer my Wii over to it, with all my Wii Virtual Console purchases?
Nothing has changed at all. Checked out my loaders and brew stuff. Everything is good to go. Hope that helps.
Lol, superb. Absolutely superb.Weren't you just bitching about how "stupid" Nintendo was in their implementation of this feature in another thread?

As I mentioned earlier, if the GamePad takes up a Wii Remote's extension input, they have to find someway where a real WiiMote accessory would overide the GamePad being plugged in (to prevent input conflict should a real CC be plugged in a Wiimote). It was never part of the Wii's original design (to have a built-in Classic Controller in a Wii Remote), so they would have to make a shell of some sort to get this to work.Just a fair ribbing.

I guess the best way to sum it up is this:

Even though the Nintendo Tvii App still isn't working in Euroland I notice there is now music for the loading screen.

You're forgetting too, that the GameCube has squishy analog triggers. Theoretically only the original Classic Controller could replicate this control meathod, but they've long been discontinued. So I don't think rerouting GameCube controls would be as simple as trying to make it seem like a Wii Remote has Classic Controller as they are entirely different in hardware design. They could reroot the GC controls to the gamepad but they'd need a trigger to act as plugin/plugout so that the Wii in the WiiU doesn't think the gc controller is always plugged...

Do Wii games actually take into account the analog triggers? Because, most Wii games that support the GameCube controller also support Wii Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro (that doesn't have analog triggers).
List of Wii games that use the Nintendo GameCube controller
No, SSBB doesn't use the analog triggers of the GC-Controller and i cant remember, if RE4 even used the analog triggers of GameCube also.Check RE4 WE, it used both GC and CC and it used the analog triggers, so yes Wii is aware of what analog triggers are.
Heck it's used in SSBB too.
They perform maintenance with no obvious answer all the time. But more importantly, do both eShops always go down for maintenance at the same time (i.e. they are on the ame server or whatever).why the heck was they perfoming extended maintenance on 3DS if nothing was to come of it?
The size of the shield depends on the pressure on the trigger IIRC like it was on SSBM.No, SSBB doesn't use the analog triggers of the GC-Controller and i cant remember, if RE4 even used the analog triggers of GameCube also.
I'm very sure this isn't the case anymore in SSBB,The size of the shield depends on the pressure on the trigger IIRC like it was on SSBM.

And RE4WE with a GC controller plugged is RE4 on GC basically.

They are digital triggers on the Wii, so in Brawl you can't control the shield anymore. It gets smaller just with time (as long as you keep the button pressed)
I'm very sure this isn't the case anymore in SSBB,
WTF did I just see while Miiverse was loading on my gamepad? was it a clock. It looked like a globe with Miis and numbers animated
no no no I want my old eShop music back too

Yeah it's like a globe with the different times around the world, these new loading screens are pretty nice and a smart idea.
WHAT?
I... I want Wii eShop music back! Please tell me it's the Wii's version!
Let me know if it's pre loaded.Oh wow I missed the fun, why did I sleep!
Time to download the update!
