Literally mimic those facial expressions in front of the 3DS camera. It's dodgy though, I simply cannot ever get the "go wide eyed" or "make a huge smile" to work.

Hat, hairstyle/colour, eye colour, top, bottom (or dress), socks, shoes, bag, accessory. There are quite a few clothing items in the stores.

Leafeon in Route 20. Glaceon in Frozen Cavern. Nosepass/Magneton I haven't worked out yet

I'm using Floette and that's been pretty decent, Pure Fairy but learns a lot of Grass moves and has good Sp. Def and Sp. Atk

where does one get reset bags? i have hit the normal bag for almost half an hour and didn't get a single reset bag. and can you upgrade your bag slots or is 20 the max number you can have at any given time?

Ralts and Kirlia are pretty weak, but Gardevoir will pay off in dividends.

If you go to the northern part of Lumiose City after you reactivated electricity, there's one building on the outer circle. If you enter it and go to the first floor by elevator, the screen will flicker weirdly and a girl will be behind you and say something weird like "I am not looking for you". She then hovers over the ground and disappears. She is not in the room. What the heck just happened. Any ideas?

Quite a bit, actually, as first games go. Catching Mewtwo, Zygarde and the Legendary Birds, Battle Maison, Mega Stone hunting, the Looker detective agency... there's more than first appears, at any rate.
