Pokemon X and Y SPOILER Discussion Thread

So is there a better way to keep an eye on your exact EV spread other than using a reset bag (its gives you the minus numbers when they reset) and then quitting without saving?

Got a Dusk Stone from the Super secret training with the Aegislash Ballon.

I beat the target time.
I can verify that ALL of the elemental evolution stones can be found through Super Secret Training.

I know because I have all of them despite not having left my starting village yet.

Just got a Dawn Stone from the secret training with the Gallade Ballon.

Man this is fun.

Okay so my method will definitely work, but I wish there was an easier way

- Get a reset bag
- Save
- Use reset bag
- Hit home button just as the stats appear
- Go to screenshot screen on 3DS menu and you can have a look at your EV numbers
- Soft reset

Furfrou's almost done ^_^

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Adamant
Max HP / Max Atk
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet

Get in on this before everyone else does.

Gengar @ Life Orb / Leftovers / Gengarite
Timid
Max SpA / Max Speed
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb / Focus Blast
- Substitute
- Disable

Get on this too.

Truly Azurmarill is the dragon slayer

Also I'm noticing that you get more points in Super Training the more that Pokemon does it, I'm clearing medium courses in about 15 seconds now that Furfrou is ~66% EVed

Freshly unlocked.

Was also given the "backflip" move by a roller-skater in Lumiose City.

So my first pokemon since original red and blue. Got my Tyrunt an dvery happy but curious what would be the best abilities to try and focus on for him?

Is it better to use them at the beginning when your point per hit is terrible or save them?

I think it's better to use them once you know that you're gonna win a high level training regimen. So if you play Level 3, you'll get 24 points instead of 12. And Level 4? That's even better. It's best to use them for high level training games.

Do they still have the Trading method from Gen V where you pick three Pokemon and barter with the other Trainer? That was pretty fun and I got some cool shit for Starters like a Lv. 100 Cloyster.

Got a Jolly Ditto with these IVs off of the GTS: 19-20/31/25-26/27-28/23-24/27-28

I checked and yep, it was just box/breed fodder and had no EVs. These IVs are correct.

Random person on GTS who gave me that for my Fennekin, that was overkill. JAMES YOU ARE SO AWESOME I LOVE YOU <3 <3 <3

I remember hearing that you eventually get the starter that yours is strong against (so if you picked Chespin you get Froakie, etc.) Is this true, and if so, when does it happen?

(Sorry if this has been asked many times already.)

After you beat the Elite Four, I believe.

Yes it does. It's after you beat the story, though.

Hey, would anyone happen to know when

-Gardevoir learns Psychic
-Talonflame learns Flamethrower (if it does)

Or, if you know when the pre evolutions learn it. Thanks!

Hey all! I just got my Spewpa to evolve into a Vivillion and lo and behold, he evolves into a pattern I haven't seen yet! I was wondering if anyone had a list of all the patterns so far, as I'm having a little trouble finding one myself.

My pattern, the High Plains Pattern (I'm in Oregon, btw):

I actually really like it. I'm glad, I was kind of worried I'd be stuck with that unfortunate green pattern :\
