Seeing all this talk about the Xbox one being rushed and 180'd.
Does anyone else think that EA was stoked to put TitanFall on an always online console? I wonder how the reversal hit EA. I know MS probably put out a lot of cash but still. The games online only so I could see the benefits prior reversal. If I were EA I would be very pissed

I know the drill very well. Microsoft's never shared official numbers of X360 consoles/games sold in Poland. Sony, to the contrary, has always been very public about them because they have a lot to show (probably one of the main reasons Poland is the only post-Soviet country to get PS4 at launch). We only know that it's enough for Sony to localize all their titles and not enough for Microsoft to fully localize theirs. Online data and second-hand market allow to estimate at least 4:1 in favour of PS3. Reading into official MS PR is actually quite easy if you know how to.

What difference does it make though?
No one who wasn't willing to go online was going to buy the XBO before, no one who's not willing to go online now still won't buy TitanFall.
The decision might have increased the install base, but it didn't alter the number of potential TitanFall owners.

Where did the Forza system seller stuff come from? Last I had read GT5 itself sold more than the Forza franchise combined I don't think it is a real big seller.

There will be PS4 cancellations no doubt but it still is the best indicator at the moment and with the PS4 hype I seriously think they'll have no trouble turning the majority of pre-orders into purchases
Hell we all expect both to sell out at launch so who knows?

I just mean that the Xbox would have moved in a direction that EA favored. And if it wasn't reversed it might have gained traction. I still have a few friends that don't know much about the situation and were excited about the Xbox one prior to drm reversals and didn't mind it eitherway

This is photoshop's bicubic automatic. Everything gets smeary. In motion it will look worse. It's also not a fair comparison because when downsampled, image quality benefits slightly from the downsample.

So decision may have upped people willing to go internet rai rai.
FYI, ******** is not a legitimate source. They make up their numbers more often than not. Hence why I can't even type their name without it being censored on here. I'm not sure if sourcing them in ban hammer material, but you might want to edit your post just to be on the safe side.

Numbers for forza have to be an estimate though
I'm pretty sure their numbers are quite bloated. But a 50m difference, bloated numbers or not, is a huge difference.
There's a sligh "blur" effect to the upscaled image. Check out the soldier on the immediate left. Focus on comparing his fingers, and the gun itself and just dart your eyes from image to image. I think this image comparison actually does upscaling a service, as (to me anyways) it doesn't usually look that close.

First thing I noticed was the background of the timer (4:29) at the top-middle of the screen. It looks way different (due to blur?) on the upscaled image.
