Pokemon X and Y SPOILER Discussion Thread

Well shit. 5/6 of my Pokemon are weak against fighting and the 6th is not very effective. Can't even kill the first of these two Lucario.

Credits just rolled, any pointers on what to do next, like special events/pokemons etc.?
Sycamore will invite you to meet him in Lumiose Station. Do so, and he'll give you a pass to get to Kiloude City, where the Battle Maison (this gen's Battle Tower) and Friend Safari are.

So I beat the game. Outside of scouring the routes for the little odds and ends left, I'm kind of directionless. Already caught the two available legendaries, so I guess I'm just rounding up TMs and mega stones? Is there anything in the Chamber of Emptiness? Also, any way to access the rest of the power plant? Man, post-game is feeling barren here.

Is there any point to tipping/the chateau or w/e with the nobility ranks/the random "minigames", etc?

Ugh getting Dragonite is going to be a bitch since all my pokemon are already in their late 50's. I also can't catch one until I get the 8th badge since they're apparently located on route 21(or rather, dratini and Dragonaire are located there) and I can't access it yet.

Finally beat the game! Team:

Blaziken Lv. 68
Garchomp Lv. 65
Aegislash Lv 65
Lucario Lv 67
Gogoat Lv 67
Greninja Lv 64

Gyarados was a bitch to beat because i had no electric moves ;x

Ditto is trolling me right now..

I have:

Adamant
Bashful
Brave
Calm
Docile
Gentle
Hardy
Hasty
Impish
Jolly
Lax
Lonely
Modest
Naive
Quiet
Quirky
Relaxed
Sassy
Serious

No Timid though!

Which route is Phantump found on? I'm on Route 14 and it looks like an area that it might be found.
EDIT: Found on Serebii.
But am I right in thinking that a Modest nature Goomy would do well? Or does it have a lot of physical moves? I'd just think that cause of Goodra's stats it'd be a special attacker.

Finally started playing this. Currently 10ish hours in and rocking a team of:

Jiraiya/Frogadier
Megiddo/Charmeleon
Kamina/Pancham
Zanpakuto/Honedge
We need a Mega Aegislash so we can yell out release commands when evolving it

Ah I was mixing up IVs with EVs, still confused about IVs though, they are simply random upon catching the pokemon then and theres nothing you can do to influence them?
Not without breeding for them

3/6 IVs are inherited randomly from the parents. You can make 1/6 fixed by getting the parent with that IV to hold the IV boosting items I forget the names of, then 2/6 are inherited randomly.

I wonder if, assuming that most Megas have been found, if GF will add more in the future or if they will drop the mechanic.

Since gender differences were introduced in Gen 4 they have stopped introducing smaller differences, leaving only stuff like Meowstic or Unfeazant

I have a Pokeball in my team when looking at the summary screen is all red. But he's at full health. I think it has something to do with him being tired from Super Training, how do they recover from this and does it affect their ability to do battle regularly?

Is it Torchic? Because that Pokeball is supposed to be red.

Silly question, but how do you buy a dozen of certain products on sale? In Lumiose City, I'm trying to buy Galettes at a dozen and it even mentions that, but I can only buy one at a time. This is weird. Please help!

Could anyone post a list of the mega stone locations without the names of the items? I want to be surprised, but at the same time I just spent the past hour looking for the things and only found one whose location I didn't already know. I just don't see that as very time/resource efficient (I burned up a LOT of Max Repels), and feel like it probably makes sense to cut down on the waste.

Just reached the pokéflute part and that moment when the main character and Serena are talking on the balcony with the fireworks... my god, was that dialogue cringe-worthy. :lol

Mawile learns Play Rough at level 60. The physical Fairy move I've wanted on mine all game. It's almost insulting how they expect you to get by with Fairy Wind until then if you want a Fairy attack. I was scared I was going to have to breed for it, but she just learned it. Mawile would be pretty decent even with just the Fairy retyping, but the Mega is ridiculous.

Does anyone have access to a Calm or Modest Ditto? Going to start breeding some Auroros. WIll gladly offer some up once I'm done.

Also, what's the Flame Body pokemon in this game? The Chandelure line?

Oh my god. I left my scatterbug in the day care center right after I got it, and now it's level 34 and I forgot that they don't evolve while they are being taken care of...Why did I even do this?

Beat the champion and saw the credits. Aww, that was kind of sweet. Just got to the post-game, and I can see why people are saying it's lacking. Just the Friend Safari and Battle Maison? Hopefully they release some downloadable post-game stuff.
