A simple deal would suit, I think. Tell him: If all he says turns out to be true, you will vote Republican next election. If it's mostly fiction, however, he has to concede that he has been lied to - and emphasise lied - and will vote Democrat in the midterms.

After all, if he has so much faith in what these people are telling him, that's fine, he has nothing to fear.
