I remember Tangled's trailers leading up to its' release not doing much for me either so I'm willing to give Frozen the benefit of the doubt on this one.

That being said, I still REALLY hate the design of the snowman guy.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I found this trailer to be 100 times better than the previous one. I'm set on seeing this one in theaters.

you speak so well
Good trailer but the snowman guy is already annoying as fuck (and his design is awful too). Still, Tangled was great so I'm definitely seeing this.

It looked good until the wacky sidekick showed up.

It's sad since it was actually a good movie, but The Lion King really screwed up Disney animated films for a long time. They've just been hammering at the same formula for so long....I pray for the day they kill the obvious celebrity voices and whacked out sidekicks.

It could have worked out better for this guy

There is a point to him. Whether it will be executed well I can't tell yet.

Where is my Tangled sequel?

Doesn't look like it will be happening anytime soon, thankfully. I'm a bit worried WDAS will eventually start making sequels as well, seeing what's going on at Pixar.

looks really good. Like others have said the snowman is fucking dumb. The horse worked in tangled because it didnt talk.

hmmm we will see I guess. kids will love it.

Few things:

-Animation looks incredible
-Voice acting seems wooden, annoying, and amateurish
-The puns aren't funny or clever
-Echoing the thoughts of sidekick syndrome being overbearing
-Pretty much the entire story shown in that trailer

I don't think it'll be worth seeing in theaters. The story itself looks good though but my adult self wont be able to watch without cringing.

Not really.

Not really.

I haven't read the source material but there'd have to be a plot twist out of left field for the story to surprise me.

Well, yeah. That is the basic premise of course they ought to show it. Doesn't mean they showed everything that happens.

I felt like they showed enough to piece things together, with little things like motivation, origins, and the journey itself left untouched.

Comic relief and inevitable "feel" moment at the end. Not very creative IMO.

I don't mean to rain on the parade though. I hope I enjoy it but I'm not as optimistic after this trailer.

Care to make your predictions on the film? I don't mean to sound antagonistic, just curious.

Alright I'll give it a shot. Skip in case of any potential spoilers:

Firstly, I imagine the film will give an explanation as to where the queen's powers came from, either in the prologue or as a revelation towards the end.

In the beginning of the trailer, a prince is seen, and it seems like there's a ceremony going on. I think the sister Anna may be marrying the prince (or he may be marrying the queen), and something happens to where the queen loses her composure and accidentally reveals her powers during that ceremony (or after).

Then of course, she runs away and flees the kingdom, creating an ice world and ice critters to guard her and keep her company (mentions she's lonely in the beginning). Anna chases after her and meets (or is rescued by) the guy with his reindeer, and with his own motivations helps her find her sister. Having spent time with Anna throughout the journey, furthers the idea that the queen and prince are getting married, while Anna and this guy end up together instead.

Did the queen protect herself from those ships or were they already frozen and destroyed? It also appears that she ends up captured at the end and is talking with the prince, and the prince leads a charge against her at the end (though he slows the guards down). Why is she attacking them? Is she protecting something, or is the villain there? I think there are several possible scenarios for the antagonist:

1- the Prince is the villain
2- the Dukes are the villain
3- any combination of the above
4- there is no villain or the queen herself creates the antagonistic forces
5- the villain has yet to be revealed

Basically, something bad happens during an important moment and she flees the kingdom and creates her own ice world. Her sister looks for her with friends she finds on the way and at the same time the queen is being pursued by either the villain or is already captured. Since it's Disney, a happy ending would either be people embracing the snow or the snow melting and turning to summer. It's possible that Anna awakens to powers of her own to help her sister in the latter. This is also where the snowman would die (only to be revived later of course, because ballsy deaths don't happen anymore).

Of course I'm no expert and this could be completely wrong, so I'll ultimately have to watch it to see how it does. By the time I watch it I'll forget what happened in the trailer anyway.

Her sister is Summer.

Basically. Only thing that's missing is who the villain is.

Everything looked decent except the snowman character. Normally I don't immediately hate the sidekick characters but they really did a number with this one because (prediction) I can't wait to see him melt .

So basically, the trailer told you enough so that you know what the movie would be about but not how it would play out....

Pretty much my thoughts. Execution is always the most important bit, doubly so for Disney movies which usually aren't based in complex plots. I genuinely think a lot of the movie's strengths will cme down to finer details which obviously wouldnt be apparent in a trailer.

And there might well be some surprises as well.

First trailer I've seen that looks good, but man, that snowman..

I agree the voice acting doesn't seem great.
