I remember doing a wi-fi match in black 2 someone had a terrakion and did the beat up combo on me. That was actually frustrating
 
Darn. I was on a 7 game winning streak on ranked, but ended up running into a player that was also running Mega Kangaskhan and lost. :[

How do you fight people with your whole team? Is it just in free battle/passerby battles?

Yeah it seems to only be PSS battles that you can do it. Battle Spot doesn't seem to have any option for it.

I like doing the 3 v 3, but I had to stop because it was nothing but teams of Starter/Starter/Lucario.

That is something I'm having trouble with. I can slash it down to 1 HP with False Swipe and paralyze it and it'll still make me go through multiple balls before they finally get caught.

For reference, I think I have 24 Premium Balls and I'm only re-entered Lumiose City. ._.

Apart from Mewtwo which took about 20 balls to capture the highest before that was 8 balls to catch.

These are with ultra balls.

Yveltal has a significantly higher capture rate than Mewtwo.
 
Been doing a chunk of breeding today. Got myself a bunch of 4 31 IVs Eevees so far, but not much luck with a 5 one. Also going for some Charmanders so I can get a good Charizard.

Anyone here has a Normal Friend Safari with Dittos? I'm using... not very good ones, and those would definitely help out a ton here. Mine's a Water-Type and has Panpour, Quagsire and Frogadier, so if you want to add me just send a PM or so.

You can only find one of the legendary birds depending on your starter choice? Seeing Zapdos and Articuno is all I need to complete the non-national seen pokedexes.
Anybody have a Zapdos/Articuno and want to battle?

Edit: Is there any faster way of catching the legendary birds than checking your Pokedex each time you re-enter a route? It takes like 15 seconds to see each time. Soo slow.
 
Can someone do me a massive favor and teach my Lapras Ice Beam? I don't have anything to offer in return but I'd really appreciate the generosity. I would send it over to my Y and do it myself but I dont have access to a second 3DS atm.

Well, no luck with protean Froakie's. Every time I get the correct IV passed the bugger ends up with torrent.

I'll try again tomorrow I suppose. Then maybe move onto ralts or goomey breeding.
 
Just received Honedge with relaxed nature, then proceed to trade a Japanese one with a Mareep. Have the female holding everstone, wish me luck on my first Shiny hunting gaf.
 
So, some passerby from Japan just initiated a trade with me, and I think his intent was to show off his Pokemon, because he kept showing things like Zygarde, Charizard, Mewtwo, etc.

Of course, I had all of them to show off too so who knows what we accomplished. Not trading though~!
 
I've been avoiding it, but I don't think I can anymore. Both coworkers and friends have been pushing me into buying Pokemon. I haven't played since red and blue on Gameboy, which would make this the first Pokemon I play in roughly 15 years. I've heard the 3D is total crap, but it's not the end of the world.

I'll keep y'all informed.

It's okay lol, I wouldn't have stayed in on Klefki, but I didn't know its speed either. I was way overestimating Flygon's crappy 100 base, lol.

In my defense though, my team is half done really and the key player isn't 50 yet. :( Aegislash/Pangaroo or w/e are just story mode guys, and I don't like Auroros at all.
 
I will concede to game freak that they have finally made a city so big that it takes more than a day- or several days- of playing through to memorize the layout. The awkward camera angles is kind of cheating, but oh well.
 
Quick question, what am I supposed to do about all my Pokemon (except the Charmander I just got) being tuckered out from Super Training? Do I need to do anything?
 
So, what's the deal with some Pokemon being excited prior to the start of a battle or comments like that? Is that Poke-Amie thing any relevant when it comes to battles?
 
I keep trying to progress in the game but keep getting distracted by super training and amie. Luckily, most of my main team is fully trained right now. I'm rocking Greninja, Doublade, Meowstic, Sylveon, Pangoro, and Amaura right now. My Greninja, Doublade, and Sylveon are perfect (especially the Doublade, it's Adamant nature and pretty much wrecks everything it touches). I'm a little worried about my Meowstic's stats, though, and my Lucario is a better nature than my Pangoro so that may end up switched out as well. I also have a Fletchinder waiting in the wings as another back-up but I think my main team is pretty set out of this group unless I find a better replacement for Meowstic.
 
Never really had any problem catching Pokemon till post game honestly.

It took me like 20 Ultra Balls to catch a level 30 Absol in a Friend Safari, it was ridiculous.
 
I wonder if I should focus my Clawitzer on HP and Spec. Attack or maximimize Spec Attack and split the other between Def and Sec Def. Which is better Gaf?
