Who did you guys end up using your Masterball on?
Mewtwo. I wanted to reset for the ideal IVs and nature. Xerneas and Yveltal are too easy to catch to bother using it on.
I want to see Zygarde's form for the next game before I decide if I really want to catch and reset for the best stats, and fuck the birds.

Shiny Pumpkaboo. In hind sight I probably should have saved it since Pumpkaboo doesnt have curse, but the purple color match was too tempting.

Yes, you can manipulate his stats with EVs to evolve him. You can cancel evolution with B if it isn't hitmontop.

Anyone who pays attention to Smogon know if Excradrill is/will be still on Uber after the X/Y tiers are decided? I just bred 5-perfect with both Sand Rush and Mold Breaker, wondering if its even worth the time to EV train them both. Mold Breaker will be trained regardless, but Id love to use Sand Rush online if its in OU.

Question. How do you use the PokeRadar? I keep trying to use it in different kinds of grass, but I keep getting that stupid "There's a time and a place for everything, but not now" message.
1.No. You can pass down HAs through normal breeding. It just might take a long while to get it done. It seems maybe females pass down more often than males.
2.You can combine Power Items and Destiny Knot as far as I know. The problem with you second step is that you're still relying on random chance with the next breeding that those stats will pass through. It's probably better than the alternative, but still tricky. Should work, though.
I know that feel. Going from 4 to 5 with my eevee took forever today. Hey, at least Dratini has a 50/50 gender ratio. Not being able to breed a 4 or even 3 perfect IV female with the stats I needed to flip out was the most annoying thing ever.

Make sure your roller blades aren't out.
The games treat Battle Facilities as link battles, nothing you do in them counts toward Pokedex, EVs or XP.

You'd still need to catch them anyway for National dex completion. There's always GTS.

Well, "catching them all" hasn't really been the win condition for a while now...
Oh, I didn't realize there were boutiques. I just thought you got clothes for free in the Pokémon Centers. Well, that explains it, lol.
The full 100% win condition (5 trainer stars) has required it for a good while.
If 100% completion is your goal sure, but there's a reason the Pokedex count switched from caught to seen.
Oh definitely, but I'm assuming that Tyrogue is less than level 20 in the Saffari?

Most players think of beating the elite 4, catching the main postgame legendary, and exploring every area as beating the game. Most people never sincerely attempt to catch them all. Every game also makes a distinction between the National Pokedex (everything ever) and regional pokedex (everything actually in this game and its other version). Between beating the story mode and completing the regional dex, gamefreak doesn't really seem to think of completing the national dex as "beating the game" any more.

You got the shiny charm for completing the national dex, which was really just a consolation bonus. Nothing really significant and no extra ending or anything.
They gave you one award that increased the egg rate you get during breeding for the regional and one that increases the shiny encounter rate for the national dex. I'm hoping X/Y also gives you a shiny increase for national. Increase natural shiny rate+increase in Friend Safari+an increasing award would be amazing. A reward truly fitting for the task of completing the dex.
Yeah, getting to 4 was so quick! DIdn't realise it'd be such a long wait till the 5. I'm breeding a Male and Female Dratini both with 4 perfect IVs each, but one is different (Male has Attack, Female has Speed). Keep getting 4s out of them with either Attack or Speed missing haha.
I would argue an item that, fairly significantly, increased the shiny rate is kind of a big deal.

The Shiny Charm is what I was hoping to get my hands on and figured they might have changed it to seeing counting as complete (since the egg charm only requires seeing), considering how you can catch /almost/ everything and they've implemented Cafes that show you Pokemon you can't catch (like legends) it seemed like you might be able to barely scrape it, even if it meant being at complete mercy to the RNG gods that a battle tower enemy happened to use what you can't catch.
Or at the very least, wish I could complete it without waiting 2 months for the bank to come out now that transfers locally aren't possible. Shoot.

Only from eggs, though. It was only going to be a big deal to hypercompletionists and competitive breeders - at that point you would have had nothing else to do.
Shinies are ugly and anyone who uses them has bad taste.

It's a letter from Sycamore to "his future himself". It's in one of the benches next to the lady that gives you U-turn in the Train Station
90% sure the Shiny Charm works on the shiny rate in total, not just from eggs. It increases the chance of seeing one by 3x. It just happens that it makes the Matsuda method of breeding eggs even more effective.
Also, some shinies are awesome.
