Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

Hordes have 5 of the same Poke or 4 + 1 (so like maybe 4 Bulbasaurs, 1 Pikachu just to set an example)

Pokerus and proper Power Item equipped gets you 10, 12 ,14 EVs depending on how much EVs the Pokemon gives.

So multiply that shit with 5 and you get 50 Speed EVs from a horde of 5 Wingulls (1 Speed EVs), 60 Attack EVs from a horde of 5 Weepinbells (2 Attack EVs).

Lead with a Pokemon that knows an AoE move like Surf or Earthquake. Be in the grass and use Sweet Scent. Have Exp Share on so you don't have to bother switching in the Pokemon that needs to be EV trained.

That... Sounds amazing. Of course, you still have the issue of needing to make sure that you've got the right Pokemon to go up against, but still. Might need to get these Power Items...

I am so effing broke post-E4... Is there a method to make lots of money, fairly quickly?

There's that Battle Chateau next to the Day Care. Bring an Amulet Coin and some Luck Incenses (I think the effects of the two items stack but I'm not sure) and use the Prize Money O-Power.

You can also do the same thing with the Elite 4 and beat them a few more times.

Man, fuck that episode of Futurama. :(

And it reminds me: The sleeping Skiddo in Lumiose City are apparently waiting for the trainer that abandoned them, according to some NPC.

Sad shit. :(

You guys do know that's based on a Japanese tale right? One that is, as far as I know, actually true?

how are you guys seeing if your pokebros have a max IV? the serebii calculator isn't showing me max even though i've bred the hell outta these safari dittos =/

This reminds me that I left two pokemon in the daycare at the beginning of the game when I first got there.. :p Dang, wonder what level they're at.

Almost 50 ultra balls later and Articuno hasn't even shook three times yet despite being at 1hp

That's it I'm done. Congratulations you get the master ball. Fuck you Articuno you suck.

Dusk balls and Capture O-Power. :P Seriously, guys, Dusk Balls are the best balls that aren't MAster Balls. Put those silly Ultra Balls away.

Yeah, that's the one.

It's obviously the gray star copy-pasted and turned red.

Ah. Guess we wont get to see their shinies until the next game. Though, Zygarde will probably end up shiny locked in that one. :p Was gonna SR for Zygarde, though I forgot to save before clicking him, and last I had saved was before Mewtwo.

Something I didn't wanna go through again. Nearly wasted every ball on it.

Edit: Going to bed now. Just noticed I forgot to show shiny mega houndour. Will do that tomorrow.
Shiny Mega Banette for those that haven't seen it.

Yeah, that's the one.

It's obviously the gray star copy-pasted and turned red.

The star for shinies is actually right there to the left, but it's a much darker red than that orange. Prob just photshop to replace reds with the orange or whatnot.

edit: Weren't legendary shiny potentials found to be determined at the very beginning of the game in R/S/E, anyways?

Lawls 3x multiplier. Dusk's got 4x and works for more than one turn.

Dusk balls are 3.5 and Quick Balls are 4, I think, but since it only works on the first turn, Quick Ball is really only better in practice if you're chasing a roaming legendary and got them down to 1 HP and paralyzed them or something in the last battle.

Ultra Balls are always a shitty 2, though. :P

In other news, my plan to trade that asshole Zapdos for a Yveltal worked perfectly. I'll have like three Zapdos when I bring my Pokemon from Black anyway.

Next step is getting all the Kalas Pokemon and I already have all of the first forms of them. Just have to evolve them.

I unfortunately can't make topics yet, but I had a question for those in this thread.

Is it just me and my friend circle, or does it seem like X & Y are being picked up by a lot of people who haven't played games in the series in many years? I know of at least 3 people (including myself) who haven't played the series since Gold/Silver, but ended up picking up Pokemon X/Y. Honestly, I'm liking a ton more than I could have ever expected =).

This is gonna sound absolutely ridiculous but whatever. I'm a purist about these things.

Wwould anyone trade their untouched Lv. 70 North American Moltres for my lv. 76 Japanese one? It's gonna peeve me endlessly if one legendary is stronger and from a different region than the rest. :T

It could be 20x and it still wouldn't be able to catch anything.

Also I think you're wrong.

I've literally stopped using anything other than Quick Balls. It's easier to just run away on the off chance that it fails than it is to try and whittle it down and hope it doesn't pull an Explosion or Take Down out of its ass.

And yeah I've got two Poke's with False Swipe.

Dusk Balls are great for Legendaries/anything with high HP though, so I guess there's that.

AHHHHHHHHHH. I just finished the looker side quests and....

It's more interesting than the entire main story. Twists in there like you wouldn't expect in a Pokemon game.

Old lady Japanese swearing, Malva former
Team Flare
member, and Emma's story

Everyone that hasn't done the looker sidequests, highly recommend it. I really liked the part where
The final chapter makes you read all those trial logs
that was a really nice way of storytelling.

Were the looker quests in the previous games this good?

What do you guys think of having the Fang attacks on Tyrantrum?

Thunder, Fire, Ice, and Poison Fang attacks apparently can be bred onto him.
His ability Strong Jaw apparently increases fang attacks by 50%.
So, the elemental fangs are now like 98 power and poison is 75.

Which ones do you see as being more useful?

I'm struggling to find a good place to level...
The Battle Chateau seems like it would be a good place, but resistance is weak and sparse even with the writs

I'd like to encounters hoards of Audino's :|

What is the most effective way to increase Eevee's happiness other than the bell? I'm only a slight bit after the third gym.

The house next to the Pokemon Center in Cyllage City has a man who will give a massage to the first Pokemon in your party once a day.
