New gameplay screenshots of The Order 1886

Gamersyde have the pics up...Look pretty damn good to me, although environment doesn't look spectacular in screens. To be fair many parts of 19th century London were pretty drab though:

Blim to the rescue yet again. Game looks incredible here. Much better than the compressed shots GI released. Characters in particular stand out and the destruction effects in the combat shot are quality.

I'm loving the Sherlock Holmes meets Abraham Van Helsing vibe. Is this confirmed to be a third-person shooter now?

DoF is incredible.

Needs better grain though. And if you're mimicking anamorphic lenses, the light needs anamorphic artifacting. Light distortion should be vertical ovals, not circular.

Will be interesting to see how immersive or annoying the borders are.

It is annoying in Dragon's Dogma - that is for sure, but then it doesn't feel like the game was meant to have those borders at all.

Either way, looks like a day one PS4 exclusive we need.

Dragon's Dogma is why I was skeptical of it but it worked really well in Beyond. A proper FoV and limited HUD goes a long way. The HUD in DD was way too cramped.

Those pics are pretty drool-worthy. It looks fantastic for a first wave title in a new gen. Normally first wave titles look pretty rough.

Looks certainly nice.

Too bad about the grain and chromatic aberration. Surprisingly, and luckily, lens flares are quite toned down.

The grain works well here but I do think the CA needs to be toned down a bit. Didn't really notice it until the Gamersyde shots came out. The CA looks better here than in other games though.

There is nothing immersive about losing multiple inches of screen real estate. This whole black borders trend really needs to die. Devs are fooling themselves with this crap. It's annoying in cinema and even more annoying in gaming. But I understanding it a whole lot more in cinema.

Those next-gen teeth. O:

Those shots look spectacular. And even though it's just hair model referencing, their next-game needs to use Pessino and Weerasuriya as character models. :p

This can't be real rite? Surely will downgrade when launch rite?
Just look too good to be true.
The lighting the shadow....unbelievable

I cannot wait for this game for the setting alone! I am in a serious Victorian mood and to be able to play a game set in this (albeit alternative) period is going to be a dream come true, especially when it looks this stellar.

I desperately want a looping video of that bearded guy's facial animations or at least a gif. Looks fantastic!

Good lord. The visuals are NUTS.

Some of the shots on this page remind me of the save rooms in RE4.Very atmospheric.

I'm especially allergic to those since I absolutely loathe this - sadly, still ongoing - trend of showing the game world through a movie camera lens and post production effects rather than character's eyes.

God, this just looks incredible. Besides the visuals though, I'm just loving the whole setting and atmosphere they have going on here. As many others have pointed out, the character designs are so on point. Can't wait to see this in motion.
