New gameplay screenshots of The Order 1886

Next-gen:

Pfft, that blurry shit? On Xbox720 maybe. But THIS is the real, superior NEXT-GEN:

They need to dial it down on the sides. It looks fine in the middle because it's not as prominent (to simulate the "lens" effect of CA) but on the sides, it sticks out too much.

Yeah, but the girls forehead is very very noticeable. I'm looking forward to this, but games that use too much CA give me headaches.

Wow, what a spectacular game.

Dat mustaches... that soft look.... that character design...

Btw, this is the first time we managed to see monster claw marks on the neck of Lady Ingraine.

Best looking game so far., just amazing.

The outdoor stuff in this game looks phenomenal.

The indoor areas look a bit barron.

Kind of the issues I always had with Gears of War this gen.

Mod edit for merge: This was originally a dupe thread.

The story is written by Ru Weerasuriya and Kirk Ellis and is set in a 19th century London where members of The Order continue to fight the half-breeds who started the conflict a thousand years ago. But a new conflict starts, this time from citizens who are angry and unhappy with the inequality.
The main character is Sir Galahad but the other members (Lady Igraine, Marquis de Lafayette, Sir Percival) of The Order are also introduced to the players.

Regarding the arsenal, the images depict the arc gun, which need to be charged to fire a bolt of electricity, effective at long range and armoured enemies. The frag grenades can be used as proximity mines by deploying a spike. The Thermite rifle fires bullets "of condensed aluminium iron oxide" while its secondary fire delivers a superheated flare. If you need some space, the Combo gun will send a concussive burst of compressed air and a rifle barrel is attached.

The game is coming in 2014.

Ladies and gentlemans. Imagine now a nextgen game from 2017. :D

Looks great. Damn with this and Ryse we're getting closer to playing CG.

This does look like it will play like Gears. It's a good thing imo.

Reember guys, diminishing returns. People wont be able to see the difference. /s

I'm especially allergic to those since I absolutely loathe this - sadly, still ongoing - trend of showing the game world through a movie camera lens and post production effects rather than character's eyes.

It's a 3rd person game. You are experiencing the game through a camera, not though a person.

I think they might turn down the CA by like 30% though.

Now THAT is some next-gen looking stuff
assuming it can maintain a solid framerate with such visuals on the actual hardware.

Wow, what a spectacular game.

ARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH, this game looks amazing! I'm pretty sure those are the most impressive character models I've seen in a video game yet.

While the daytime screens look marvelous, specially the one where Sir Galasomething is shooting, there's something about those shots in the dark with their flashlights that look amazing.

They don't only look good, but there's a great sense of suspense and danger in them. Impressive how I can feel that just by watching these stills.

You've said it, man. It's those night time shots that just drip with atmosphere and really pull you in.

Meh, looks like a pretty standard TPS from the screens. Hope it plays decently though.

It's posts like these make me wish developers would put more research into alternate "third" person cameras rather than the over-the-shoulder approach that permeates this entire generation.
