Get a Jolly nature with maxed Atk/Speed, shellsmash once and do as much damage as you can as quickly as you can

Alright, I'll try it out. I find myself liking Barbaracle and Clawitzer a lot. They have pretty nice stats and good move pools. I wanna try using both of them.

Bought a Weakness Policy for the fun of it, to see if I could maybe bait it with Mamoswine.
Meh. Doesn't seem to work well with Mamoswine at the moment. You can only switch in on unboosted fire moves, or non-stab 2x in some cases. Just not worth it on him I think even if a 2X boosted ice shard is amazing.
He's also such a key Pokemon in taking down big threats that putting him in unnecessary harm is almost always a loss.
Aegislash might be really good with it though. What about Metagross? I've never used him before and have no clue if he could survive any SE attacks in Gen 5.

Come on Wonder Trade Roulette, give me a Wish Eevee since I really don't want to go through the trouble of breeding baby pokemon.
If you still need a wish Eevee, let me know. I have like 25-30 of them just from breeding.

I'm kind of disappointed in Dragalge's stats. It's only good stat is Sp. Def, followed by Sp. Atk, but it's Speed is abysmal. I used one in the main game, and while it is somewhat useful for killing fairies, it's incredibly frail, and barely survived more than two hits for me.

In platinum, yes. I haven't given it a try in this game as I haven't beaten it yet.
The typing is the only thing it really has going for it, and that's only on the offensive side (Dragalgae is defensively specced.) It's usable but don't expect it to dominate.

It did. You've got fire - Fletchinder, Pyroar, and Growlithe.
Yes, provided that the male is in the same egg group. As long as you don't get "they prefer to play with other pokemon" it'll work. A Ditto will definitely work if you start struggling.
EDIT: Oh, Carbink is genderless? Well never mind.
Genderless Pokemon can only breed with ditto so no.

pokeradar is not new in any way, it was first implemented in gen IV, but yes, it works. That said, most people stick with masuda method since they want *battle-viable* shinies.

My current team looks like this
Ferrothorn-Stealth Rock Setter+Gyro Ball and Power Whip for coverage
Aegislash-Annoyance,Fighting Killer+Late game sweeper if main sweep fails
RestTalk Gyrados-Bulky water. Fire killer. Phazer.
Mega Lucario-Sword Dance build. Main sweeper
Sylveon-SDef Focused. Wish users. Dragon Slayer with Moonblast.
My old 6th was Jolteon, but now that I lack Blaziken's fire, I feel like I'm much better suited to something with fire coverage. The question is, what? I need something that can fill both the Special focused attacking slot of Jolteon and the fire-STAB of Blaziken. My initial though was Volcarona or Chandelure, but both those guys seem to require Sun support, something I don't really want to add. Any suggestions?

Arcanine! You get a dark(crunch), priority(extremespeed), fireabsorbing death machine.
I would love to run Arcanine, but I'd feel uncomfortable putting another physical attacker on this team. A special fire would be a far better fit right now, I think.
Its second form doesn't look terrible...

Magmortar/Magmar can learn Thunderbolt but they aren't that speedy
Not only that, but breed it with your Lucario (assuming it knows Close Combat) and it can get that, too. It helps to counter rock-types that otherwise laugh at Arcanine. If you'd rather not breed your Lucario, Zangoose gets Close Combat as well.
Edit: Oh, looking for a special fire? Never mind, then. I do second Magmortar, though. Volcarona's also a solid choice.

I once got a Ditto from Wonder Trade named Sasha Grey. Made me laugh.
Also, I have to go somewhere for a couple hours, but I have the Froakie giveaway/trade post ready to go for when I get back. Just a heads up. The Froakie's are all Hasty Nature with Protean, and they range from 3 perfect iv's to 5.... though i'm saving the 5 iv'ed Froakie's for people who are also trading their perfect iv'ed Pokemon.
