Why didn't I know about Restaurant Le Wow triple battles earlier? Man, you get so much experience here compared to running the Elite 4 over and over. `-`

Music 4 is the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEkUQfB9qwM

That was pretty close, but when the other player used Flamethrower on Mega Venusaur it was pretty much over. Should have used a Flying-type move. And your Pokemon have really good Speed. Your Tyrantrum really showed Aegislash who's boss lol.

Thanks for giving it a watch. If you have any good videos I'd watch as well. Kind of sort of thinking about dabbing into competitive. That was my first battle against a non-NPC since Pokemon Silver! My Tyrantrum has 2 perfect 31 IVs and it was the one given to me via fossil. He's a champ. Also, my Noivern has a 0 IV in speed and he still out speeds almost everything. Can't wait to breed one with 31s.

How often will the same two pokemon produce an egg? Is it like once per day, or ever? Hatched an egg and the baby didn't have the hidden ability the non-ditto pokemon had.

Geeze, I'm feeling overwhelmed...so many Pokemon to catch.

Plus I want to train (EV and Nature, not super picky on IV but gonna try a few times to get decent ones) a few Pokemon for fun in-game Maison/Online, nothing serious but just the best they can be, but have no clue which Pokemon to start with.

Wanted to do Electrike, but finding someone to get the Mega Stone from will be difficult. Thinking maybe Drapion since I've got a Friend Safari with one and it's a design I've always found attractive, any recommendations on good sets with the new XY Moves?

No way. It definitely is the most derivative of any of the Gym Leader themes in Pokemon games, but it is god damn good.

It's a cacophony without rhythm. An utter mess.

All of X/Y's battle themes are pretty meh, only Champion and Xerneas/Yveltal are decent.

Ugh can't find a Rhyhorn. I have about 6 pokemon left to see in the coastal dex, and all I can get pretty easily (if I can find someone to trade with) except for Rhyperior.

I'm 100% certain now: (As far as I'm concered) you can't catch multiple shinies in the same Safari, at least not at the boosted odds. Not sure if having a shiny of a Pokemon in a Safari even if it's a new Safari disables the boost or not.
15 hours in a repeat Safari with no shiny, switched to a new one and got it in my standard 10-15 minute time frame. Could be luck but I'm not buying it.

That said: Finally caught my shiny Petilil!

Despite my bad luck with Ralts (It took 7 test catches before I caught a Timid Petilil) it actually came out Timid, as well as having three perfect IVs: HP, SP. Atk and SP. Def. Woo!
Shiny Petilil's eyes are blue, and shiny Lilligant's eyes are pink.

Interesting theory, just got my third shiny, all from different safaris

so ive bred about 5 boxes worth of gastlys using the Masuda method and no luck yet. luckily i got patience and each egg hatched is more pokemiles in my eyes to get those rare candies. so its not all a waste! :)

No one answered my other question buuuut I'm curious.. What's the best method for leveling up babies to evolved forms post-E4? I was thinking Battle Chateau, or maybe Victory Road pokemon.. Do the cafes and hotels give good xp? I've got Lucky Egg and can pop the Exp o-power so it shouldn't take long I don't think.

Just curious what everyone is doing to make their time leveling up babies the fastest.

Also does the poke radar work in the safari?

Nope. :(

The restaurants.

I think it is called Restaurant Le Wow.

I use Le Wow Triple Battle.

And about how long it takes to get an egg, after some 255 steps the game rolls a random number. And if it gets the right number, you get an egg.

OK, who wants to talk science really quickly? I have a lead Jolteon with the following:

Jolteon (Alastor)/Timid/Volt Absorb/252 SpA & SPE; 4 HP

Substitute
Baton Pass
Discharge/Thunderbolt
Hidden Power (Fighting)

Who (in theory) scouts and passes Substitutes. His main partner in crime? (Mega) Blaziken with this setup:

Blaziken (Ifrit)/Adamant (recommended: Jolly)/Speed Boost/252 ATK & SPE + 4 HP

Protect
Blaze Kick (may or may not go Flare Blitz; higher powered STAB is great but recoil isn't)
Baton Pass
Power Up Punch

As I have said a number of times before in this thread, I wish if Power Up Punch even had 20 BP more attack strength because while its effect is great, you really want to be able to hit hard and fast since Blaziken doesn't have the most excellent of defenses. That's when inspiration hit me and I found a pretty nifty (if totally gimmicky) way of using my favorite Gen 6 move thus far:

- Jolteon leads and out speeds things because Jolteon is the best. Once established, he sets up and sets up a Substitute which is passed on to Blaziken.

- Blaziken's first turn on the field is to go Mega and use Protect, shielding himself and the Substitute from the next maneuver an opponent attempts. Blaziken at this point is working with a +1 speed bonus.

- Blaziken, hopefully faster than the Pokemon it's against, either strikes them with a Power Up Punch behind an unbroken Substitute or has the Substitute broken then punches them bringing the attack stat up one point guaranteed. Speed is also raised again at this point, putting him at +2 overall.

- If the Substitute is unbroken, you use PUP once more bringing you to a healthy +2 Attack bonus. If it is broken... I didn't get this far yet. (lol)

Now here comes the real scary part. You have, at any point during this, the ability to Baton Pass Blaziken's bonuses to anyone on the team that can best make use of it. I really want to work more on this, but I feel like there's two big weaknesses in this. The first is that both Jolt and Blaze share a common weakness (ground) and Blaziken might be forced to rely too much on the Substitutes since PUP is not strong enough to deal with things even with STAB and super effectivenesses in play. There's also an issue with having Subs broken before the initial Baton Pass from Jolt takes place (which would mean tagging in another mon altogether, but that's still a hindrance).

Now I'm kinda looking for a Substitute-Baton Pass user that has no ground weakness just to attempt seeing how they could chain between one another.

I swear, I did not think I'd get this invested in the game's theory battling.

Awesome. I thought I would get to use Wobbuffet, but Gyarados swept everyone!

In any case, time to indulge in the Safari and some more "Breeder Extraordinaire".

Honestly Jolteon's a bit too fragile to be Passing a Sub to a Blaziken when they share weaknesses in EQ. And W/O Swords Dance Blaziken will have trouble killing things. Power-Up Punch takes too long to set up and Blaziken is fragile as well.

Usually I'd pair up a Ninjask with Pass,Sub SD,Protect with Blaziken. Not Jolteon.

I use Le Wow Triple Battle.

Cool, I'll check that place out! And yeah, I've gotten a couple of eggs thus far. I just wasn't sure if parents that JUST had an egg can have another one in 255 more steps, or if there's like a cooldown period for them :p

Sweet, just jumped into Super Singles and already loving it by missing Stone edge twice in a row.
Can't wait to get haxed.

FINALLY i'm getting the hang of breeding.

last night/today i've bred an adamant axew with 5 perfect IVs and a modest squirtle with 5 perfect IVs. 2 down!!!!

also, about 80 hours in and no shiny seen lol what shitty luck

I've got all the IVs I need between Noibat and Ditto but they take forever to make eggs. Is there some way I can trick them into loving each other?

One more thing to worry about is that pokemon with Infiltrator (Crobat/Noivern) and any sound based move like Roar or Boomburst will pass through substitute.

Is Goodra a good Pokemon? It's Special Defense is huge, but it's Defense, Special Attack and Speed kinda suck. One Outrage will kill it right? :S
