40 hours in.. about to go to the second gym.
Been wonder trading, breeding and catching pokemon. I try and catch each pokemon on a rt before moving onto the next one. Then with ally he wonder trading I have done I have had to restart my team.
I've gotten all 6 starters traded to me, and Eevee and a ditto. So my current team is Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Sylveon, Amaura and Honedge.
Oh also got a shiny Clauncher in a wonder trade!
Love this game. Going to keep taking my time with it and enjoying it.

I have been working on my team. I am not really good at team building, usually using Pokémon I like or haven't used before. Here are my first three:

I don't really know about the last three. I think I'd want a water type to counter the ground weakness for both Tyrantrum and Mega Mawhile. Also something to counter steel which Togekiss and Tyrantrum are weak too as well.
I really want to use Goodra, but since I already have a dragon type, I'm not so sure.
Any suggestions?

Why would you put EVs into Special attack for Mawile when you have no special moves on it?

I think goodra with assault vest should be able to withstand a draco meteor..
You could always try Gyarados. Immune to ground. Could give it something like Dragon Dance/Earthquake/Waterfall/whatever (Bounce? Stone Edge? Something else?). Earthquake would help with your Steel problem a bit.

I can't help but feel like Protean Greninja is overpowered.
Nice! Where can I get a list of the base EVs awarded for each horde?
It needs the boost compare to the other starters.

Normally those defenses wouldn't faze anyone, but suddenly STAB U-Turn whenever you want makes him a force to be reckoned with.
Even if everyone starts banning Protean on him, he's still going to be heavily used thanks to that crazy speed and support movepool. Greninja won the lottery this gen.

I like this idea, but I'm afraid Thunderbolt will be a big issue with both Gyarados and Togekiss.
This is probably be crazy, but I've been thinking about Washing machine Rotom. Electric/Water with Levitate. I've never used this before (or any of the Rotom forms). It can take out ground types, but can't be hit by them (not considering smack down, gravity etc).
It may not be viable, ust a random thought, haha
Welcome to hell! Though swapping that one in for breeding increases your odds significantly.
Rotom-W is fantastic thanks to his typing and ability. He's pretty versatile and almost always has a place on a team.

Yeah I'm gonna do it.
It would take 10 to Ice Beams to KO a Goodra (speaking from experience).
The thing does no damage.
Its worth noting that damage is not fixed, even though it seems to be. This is more apparent in super effective moves, since said small number variance tends to become more evident.
Yes, Goodra is an amazing bulky pokemon. If you gear it to be a bulky staller and give it leftovers, it's pretty hard to get yourself OHKOd, or even 2HKO in many situations.
The camera places do save photos to the SD card, but it does not support uploading through the 3DS image share website, which SUCKS.

Only at the camera spots - they save to your 3DS picture folder, and they are also uploaded to Pokemon Global Link with Game Sync. I think you get something for taking a pic at every place...

and this is with 252 EVs in HP AND Sp. Def
Rotom-W is very good, I just totally forgot it was even a thing though lol. You should definitely do that. Nice thing about it is that it can do a lot of different things well, depending on what you need. Volt Switch, Trick, Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp, so forth, can go defensive or offensive as well.

I'm pretty sure that user was exaggerating the number of attacks you need to use to take it down. I have to say that pulling mathcraft for such a simple statement is a bit hilarious, considering this thread is far from Smogon's forums.
So "selfies"? or are there any spots where I can take a picture while being in a battle? Or perhaps of Pokemon?
