Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

I'm looking for a Pokemon to replace my Pangoro HM-Slave for E4.
My team is Greninja, Charizard, Gogoat, Flygon and Aurorus;

Any suggestions?

Damn, just read on Smogon that Aerilate, Pixilate, and Refrigerate give about a 30% damage increase to converted normal type moves on top of STAB. That's pretty awesome, though obviously limited to only a few Pokemon.

We're currently 3 persons waiting for a fourth one to do some multibattling! Anyone interested?

@Not75drops: I'm asking strangers, it's not going well :P

Anything new about those 3 leaked event Pokémon?

#719 Rock/Fairy Diancie
#720 Fire/Water Volcanion
#721 Psychic/Ghost Hoopa

I hate to wait. :P

Well we will finding about one of them next year, then second one in 2015 and the last one in 2016.

Assuming that Game Freak goes by releasing event Pokémon yearly.

Stupid question: why is Klefki OU material? Just the typing?
Klefki's typing is excellent (2X weak to ONLY Ground and Fire, and with two immunities and multiple resistances). His defenses are strong. But his secret sauce is Prankster, which gives +1 priority on all status moves.

This allows Klefki to do the following:

- Always go first paralyzing with Thunder Wave and/or confusing with Swagger
- Then go first setting up a Substitute next turn
- Then go first using Swagger if I haven't already, or paralyze with Thunder Wave if enemy switches to shake confusion
- Then use Foul Play, which is stronger the greater the enemy's Attack; with an anti-Attack nature on Klefki, and the enemy's Attack raised two stages by Swagger, you can hit them HARD.

When the sub breaks -- if they're able to hit you instead of hitting themselves or being immobilized by paralysis -- then you repeat the process.

Only Taunt can stop it. In which case Klefki can switch out for a bulky wall to kill the taunter.

Also, some people use Klefki to set up dual screens and/or Spikes. Although I think the incredibly durable Carbink (with Sturdy, and holding Light Clay) is the premiere Dual Screener (and Stealth Rocker!).

Personally, I'm interested to use both -- Klefki, and then Carbink.

Doesn't Prankster just give +1 priority to a non-attack move?

Need help with making move sets.

My Eevee has:
-Return
-Quick Attack
-Bite
-Last Resort

I was curious is something like Dig or Toxic would be better than Last Resort (considering how annoying it is to set up Last Resort) ?

My Zorua is going to have:
-Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse
-Extrasensory

I'm not sure what to do for it's last move. I was thinking of doing Incinerate since it's now 60 power and I have no fire moves on my team, but I dunno. Maybe something stronger like Shadow Ball would be better. Advice?

My Flygon is going to have:
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fly (I really need a Pokémon with Fly)

I was thinking of having Roost be my last move, but I don't have any bug moves on my team then. Should I do U-Turn instead?

Some advice would be lovely.

Trying to evolve my Sliggoo. Where on Earth does it rain and what are the patterns?
edit- Rain Dance doesn't work :s

You just have to find it. Areas around Laverre and Ambrette are often rainy for me. Geosenge sometimes too. I'm not sure if it's random or by day or what.

What's a good item for Belly Drum Azumarill to hold? I've been using a Sitrus Berry to help guarantee Belly Drum goes off, and I made sure to have even HP so the berry still activates if I Belly Drum at full health. Is the extra health really worth it, or would it better to give him something for extra power like Splash Plate?

Teams of

Mewtwo, Xerneas, Garchomp, Blaziken, Talonflame, Yveltal

Are just not interesting to fight. Pretty much every passerby that has challenged me has had this kind of set up or similar.

A few days ago, I fought a Triple Battle against a team consisting of Yveltal, Mewtwo, Mega Charizard Y, Lucario, Bisharp, and Floatzel, using my Elite Four team.

I barely won.

Prankster adds +1 priority?

So in theory if you manage to get something strong enough with a priority move you could take it out before it had the chance to set up, right?

I guess there aren't too many out there beyond Bullet Punch / Extremespeed / Aqua Jet / Ice Shard, though. Shit, and it resists literally all of those beyond Aqua Jet and Shadow Sneak, huh?

You could arguably make a case with a specialized Magnezone or Rotom-H designed to counter it, but even then that seems improbable.

Why not Leftovers?

You can farm it off of Lapras if you have one in your FS.
I'll have to see if anyone on my friends list has a Lapras... Unless someone here wants to just trade mystic water for the fire counterpart item?

Choice band, splash plate, mystic water.

You may want at least 1 Flying/Levitate on the team.

Also why Rain Dance on Toise?

Could Avalugg end up being a decent counter to Klefki? It can learn EQ, Safeguard, Substitute, Recover and obviously has some decent STAB, and it can also get Own Tempo as an ability.

Also why Rain Dance on Toise?

Yeah, replace that with Rapid spin. Rain dance ruins Volcarona's STAB and Rapid spin is needed to clear entry hazards so Volcy can get onto the field safely.

Volcarona should at least pack flamethrower, bug buzz and (this is very important) Quiver Dance. Choose whatever you want for a fourth one, I'm thinking hurricane but that's an unreliable move.

Choice band, splash plate, mystic water.

Choice band would be pretty bad if he plans to utilise belly drum.
