Almost done Wonder Trading 1/3 of my Klefki boxes.

I wish the game didn't ask you to save every time you WT.
I wonder if saving is required so you can't just pump an endless stream of legendaries out into the world. (Otherwise you could save before legendary, Wonder Trade, reset)

Oh wait, maybe that's what I saw... Would explain why he looked "off," lol

Eelektross is floating as well. I've seen it in Sky Battles along with Carnivine. I guess it's to emphasize that it has Levitate even though they didn't do that with Gengar. Basically if you don't see anything levitating regardless of type, then it can't participate in Sky Battles.

What's everyone doing with their Goodra these days? I've got a Dragonite on my team which I'm pretty happy with - Dragon Dance > Outrage is pretty devastating. But it looks like Goodra tends to run a pretty different style to Dragonite. Thinking it might be worth breeding one for my team since I love the design so much.

During that long trading animation, why can't saving be done there?

Can't you turn it off in the Options?
Forced Save: You can choose whether or not you must save before PSS battles and other communication features

I have it turned off.

Only thing it does is not saving before connecting to the internet.

I can give you the second 5 IV one I got if you want, he has Hustle and not Serene Grace, but I can also give you a female Togetic with 3 perfect IVs and Serene Grace, should be pretty easy to breed. Both have Nasty Plot and are Modest.

Or I can pass the parents that MicH gave me to breed with onto you, that way you don't have to bother with evolving Togepi.

Either way, that's super generous of you man. Can't turn that down. I don't really have anything worthwhile as of now, but once I get back into breeding I'll be sure to keep you in mind after my next project. I'll shoot you a trade request when I hop on in a few if you're around.

I was going to try something a little odd. I have a Bold one with perfects in HP, Def, Sp Def, and Speed. Was going to try something like Infestation/Protect/Toxic/something (probably flamethrower or fire blast, but I'll see). Might not work at all but could be interesting.

No worries! I only got it so quick thanks to MicH, gotta pass on the generosity! I'll send over the 5IV Togepi and the mother I used, probably gonna be quicker to get results that way. All you need to do to evolve it is slap a Soothe Bell on it and ride around the tower in Lumiose City for 5-10 minutes.

I just realized that my Garchomp could learn Poison Jab.

So do I get rid of Fire Fang or what? Not like EQ isnt enough for most Ferrothrons and Iron Barbs and all.

Only problem I see with that decision is Skarmory and potentially Scizor.

But Poison Jab really helps against Togekisses and considering I own one I know how deadly they can be to Dragons.

Still keeping Dual Chop for those Sashes and Multiscales and Subs though considering I don't have a rocks user with my 1st team.

Can Gengar participate in Sky Battles? How does that look in battle?

Just finished training this beauty:

Kangaskhan
Scrappy (Parental Bond)
@Kangaskhanite
Adamant, 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
~Sucker Punch
~Earthquake
~Power Up Punch/Double Team (can't decide which bullcrap I like more)
~Return

Can't wait to smash faces with this motherf*cker.

I hope I'm not spamming the thread, but is there anybody with a non-English language game that can help me out with something? PM me if you want.

That may or may not involve me giving you a free 31/x/31/31/31/31 Timid Protean Froakie.

I raised a Kangaskhan with the same EV investment and moves but I didn't know about IVs at the time and it turned out to be "meh."

Can Gengar participate in Sky Battles?

Nope. Hawlucha, Doduo, Dodrio and most of the bird's first forms (eg. Pidgey, Starly, Tailow etc.) can't either. Like I said, anything that isn't airborne can't participate in Sky Battles. It's the reason why they've made most of the bird Pokemon models have a flying animation and is why Skarmory's model looks so weird. Strangely enough, Gastly can't participate but Zubat can.

Edit: Gastly actually can.

Glad to see the Togepi love spreading! You have no idea how tedious it is to first get Nasty Plot on a Togepi, then evolve it and you can finally breed. I think I evolved 10 Togepis (switching parents) before I got my perfect one. Good to see more people getting to use them :D

I run Goodra too:

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Gooey
Modest (248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Def)
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

What a beast. I think her and Togekiss are my new favorites

EDIT: Oh and mega Mawile, too! Sucker punching is so awesome with that huge attack stat. She is suprisingly bulky too!

Oh heh that's weird. I read somewhere that Levitate peeps can so I ran with that. Didn't actually try myself though.

Modest is definitely better.
Yeah it's looking like it the more I read on him.
I'm doing an Adamant set.
Dunno about that, seems so much more suited towards SpA. If I do breed one I'll probably want that anyway, since my Dragonite is my Physical oriented Dragon.

Looks like a really solid set for Goodra. Good coverage for sure. Mega Mawile is fantastic too! After settling on her as my team's Mega fights have been turning out much better for me.

OK, I'm mildly curious about Togekiss. What kind of roles could it fit in on a team?
Wrecker of worlds.

Nasty Plot, Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Aura Sphere

DIE DIE DIE

Dat Serene Grace flinching enemies left and right

My level 39 Togekiss took out a level 63 Amoongus alone

Okay, I have the following breeding rejects from my last day of breeding that I'll be clearing out either with Wonder Trade or through here:

  • Timid Protean Froakies
  • Adamant Technician Scythers
  • Timid Anticipation Eevees (some w/ Baton Pass)
  • Jolly Rough Skin Gibles (w/ Outrage)

The Froakies and Scythers have random perfect IVs as I didn't label them when breeding. On the other hand, the Eevees and Gibles have at least 3-4 perfect IVs. I also have one Eevee with 5 IVs and 4 Gibles with 5 IVs.

All I'm asking for in return is Pokemon with some perfect IVs (hidden abilities are also appreciated). If they are females, I'd like them to be in Luxury Balls. The Eevees and Gibles with 5 IVs are reserved for offers with equivalent IVs.

My FC is 1822-0053-1708 and my trainer name is Reya. PM me your details if you're interested.

I like the sound of this, but now the catch (as always):

How hard is it to raise one properly? (Chain breeding? Timid or Modest?)

Pokemon has changed. It’s not about type-advantages, or coolness, or gym badges. It’s an endless series of theory battles, fought by specially-bred teams, IV-bred and super-trained. Pokemon, and its consumption of lives, has become a well-oiled machine. Pokemon has changed. Smogon-equipped trainers carry Smogon-approved teams, use Smogon-crafted movesets. Fake soccer games where you fight balloons enhance statistics and regulate EV distribution. Level one hatchlings with bad natures, bad IVs, are stuffed into Wonder Trade, given to strangers. Pokemon has changed. The age of link cables has become the age of wireless communication. All in the name of making a pretty cool game.

Would it be useful to get Dazzling Gleam on my Togekiss? I haven't used it yet (or gone online lol. Still trying to get all of the element fangs on a Mawile), but Air Slash + Aura Sphere basically cover everything Dazzling Gleam would beside dragons, right? I guess dragons are pretty strong though...

This is the best set, though id switch out focus blast for sludge bomb.

It really has. I think this is how it would feel if it became legal to use steroids in pro sports.

Can we all at least agree that Pyroar is the worst pokemon introduced this gen. Crappy movepool with not so helpful abilities.
I'm going to breed one

Togepi are annoying to breed because they're classified as baby Pokémon, so you have to evolve them to Togetic to breed them (see my post a few posts up). You need to get Nasty Plot from Plusle/Minun if you want that. I have some rejects if you're interested

This is true. As of now I keep it because it's a great STAB-move for the occasional dragons.

This is the best set, though id switch out focus blast for sludge bomb.
I will definitely consider that; the only Fairy-slaying move I have on this team is Iron Head on Mawile, so this is probably a good idea

I really hate Espurr. I HATE the design. But yes, the Litleo family is bad too.

Jesus I cant deal with this. I cant handle japanese players >.< Btw I use a Trevnant,Vaporeon,Rotom-W core and lord is it great.

!

I'm still uncertain about the best nature for it. What nature do you use for your set?

I'm very interested. Let me wrestle this 3DS from my brother for a second. lol

Time for some weird/funn/ridiculous Pokedex entries.

Sliggoo (X)
It drives away opponents by excreting a sticky liquid that can dissolve anything. Its eyes devolved, so it can't see anything.

Goodra (Y)
It attacks with retractable horns. It throws a punch that's the equivalent of the force of a hundred pro boxers

One of Goomy's entries says that it's the weakest Dragon Pokemon.
