If you play online in Battle Spot, using the Lv. 50 rule, but with Pokémon under Lv. 50, will it raise the Pokémon to Lv. 50 for that battle, similar to how it lowers Pokémon over Lv. 50?

Also, is the Binding Band in the game?

Also also, when Horde training and using the Power Items, if the Pokémon you're EV training is sitting in the wings absorbing EVs via EXP Share, do you put the power item on him, or on the powerful Pokémon you're using to insta-KO all the horde creatures?

I've been doing the Super Training because I legit like it (reminds me of Kid Icarus Uprising) but now I have a crop of creatures I want to build up and test out in short order.

You put the power item on the Pokemon you want to give EVs to. It also means if you're training a bunch at once, you'll need power items for all of them. :<

Edit: Oops, double post.

You put the power item on the pokemon you want to get the increased EV gain on.

Edit: Beaten by a lot lol. This is what happens when you get distracted from writing a post by Pokemon :p

Hi PokemonGAF, My brother and I just got 2 3DSXL with Pokemon X&Y, we decided to wait on the ps4 till more games are out and it is more stablished, I got a few questions:

1)How does the Super training system works? If I raise 4 EVs do the base stat raises inmeadiatly or is it progressive, and if so, does the level at which I start to ev train matters in the final outcome?

2)Does exp.share take exp away from the main pokemon?

3)Is Riolu a good starter? What starters do you recommend?

4)Anything important / Tips I should know before starting?

Thanks in advance :)
1 - 4 EVs equal 1 stat point by the time it's level 100. You don't get them all at once, as it spreads the gains out. But the earlier you EV train, the earlier you start seeing results.

2 - Nope. It creates extra experience to give to the rest of your team.

3 - For in game, you can run whatever you like. Just go with the Pokémon that interest you.

4 - Don't save in Lumiose City unless you have the patch.

Have fun!

I don't know if there's any meaningful correlation but two hours after tipping 10000 somewhere, I start up a horde to EV train (first battle I'd initiated after the tip) and bam, instant shiny

Is there some sort of secret to chasing Zapdos or do you just need to get lucky? That bitch keeps flying away to far away lands. I've found that traveling by foot gives me a better chance of catching up to it but there's still random times where it flies to the opposite side of the map.

A dozen times you have to encounter and it runs away.
Then it settles on Sea Spirits' Den.

Rain stopping me from maxing out my Togepi's speed EV. Just you watch, when I actually need rain to evolve my Sliggoo there won't be any lol.

Connecting Cave (Zubats) is great for Speed EV training when it's raining everywhere else. And the route east of Shalour city (13, I think?) also has Wingull hordes. I still haven't found an alternate place for Attack EVs, though, and it's almost always raining on Route 14.

Weepinbell hordes at route... 20? 19? Gives double EVs too compared to Bellsprouts.

Route 19 has Weepinbell hordes, but it can rain there, as well. Usually, my last resort for attack EVs is Route 5, Scraggy hordes.

Finally!
My second Masuda shiny, and it is a BEAUTY!!!! And it just happened to be on my last set of the evening. ^-^

I'm not doing this stupid shiny breeding again for a long time! Shiny breeding for the correct IVs and Hidden Abilities is stupid.

I'm not totally clear on the number of EVs you get with Pokes that give 2 EVs rather than 1. Does the Power item always just give four extra points, no matter how many the Pokemon gives you? So, with Weepinbells, you'd get 2 from the Poke, 4 more from the Power Bracer, for a total of 30 every horde battle (or 60 with Pokerus), right?

Yes, that sounds correct.

Correct!

Cool, thanks guys. 60 EVs in one battle is just blowing my mind here. I did so much EV training back in Ruby with just the Pokerus and Macho brace, getting 4 EVs a pop against Zigzagoons and having to keep a tally in a notebook next to me :P

Finally caught a shiny Charmeleon. Stat spread:
Charmeleon - #005 (Careful)
Male (♂) Solar Power
HP: 24 - 27
Att: 22 - 25
Def: 28 - 30
SpA: 30 - 31
SpD: 30 - 31
Speed: 31

Not gonna do a whole lot of online battling so I'm pretty happy with those stats. Second shiny in game so far! Haven't abused chain fishing yet though.

Hah, good times; I based my EVs on how much PP I used up.

You lucky bastard! Trevenant is the only shiny that I've wanted so desperately. So much so that I'm going to try and breed for a competitive one even. Yes, it will be hell, but I'm determined. Such great coloring...

What ball did you catch it in? Premier Ball's colors go perfectly with it.

I'm trying to get mine to be competitive as well. Unfortunately, I only managed to get max IVs in HP, ATK, and DEF. I couldn't get a Japanese Phantump with good IVs for the life of me though, so I had to settle with a triple IV Ditto that I got from Wookieomg.

I caught it in a Luxury Ball. I'm trying to have my entire team inside them, since they're my favorite Pokéball. Now that I think about it though, Premiere Balls fit amazingly well.

Good luck with your shiny hunting!

What about if it has an Assault Vest on?

And sorry I couldn't battle you Antiwhippy. My team is still level 1 noobs. Lol.

Assault vest wouldn't help seeing that kanga would be mostly using physicals.

Also tyranitar is weak to earthquake anyway.

Nah, it's cool. I appreciate the pokerus either way. We can always battle next time.

Haha thanks.
P.S. if you need help evolving him, I'd like to offer helping out with that, just so that I can see what shiny Trevenant looks like hands-on when I get him. And don't worry, I wouldn't steal him away, or anything.
