So yeeeaaah. Putty Squad (once supposed to be a Vita launch title in PAL regions), is now on track for a November 29 release. It's still getting a physical retail release.

Also coming to basically every other system (except Wii U, that one was cancelled), but only the Vita version will have extra levels released for it as free DLC. System 3's way of saying sorry for the massive delay I guess, and the fact that it was originally going to be a Vita exclusive game. The original Super Nintendo version of Putty Squad is also going to included as a free download.

(I still doubt this game will ever actually come out though).

I have $15 in my PSN wallet and I'm torn between Spelunky and PJ Monsters. I already have monsters on the PS3 but I think I would play it a lot lot more on the Vita. On the other hand, I hear great things about Spelunky but $15 seems a bit steep. Or is the something else I I should wait for? Whens fez coming out?

Get Spelunky, it controls great and is a fun and challenging experience, if you like 2d sidescrollers at all you will enjoy this.

Its also my most played Vita game with 350 plays and am still enjoying it.

I only said I doubt it because normally when the power is out in my neighborhood, the Starbucks doesn't have any either. There is at least 150,000 homes/businesses that have been affected by power outages in the Seattle area.

Terraria can't really be called MIA when there has been somewhat regular status updates on it.

Spelunky is very popular and a great game - there is a demo. There are also slowdown issues (in stages not in the demo):

Pixel Junk Monsters is also very good, pretty challenging too for me.

Otherwise it's understandable they'd want to target bigger markets first. Shame because terraria on vita would be the ideal place. Can't wait for minecraft too.

Are the mobile versions stripped down heavily?
It looks alright, but yeah still, too much effort without buttons probably.


DAMN rally games are fun! hood view is so awesome - even with some frame drops in certain maps! takes a lot of fun for me to get over it that quickly!

Hehe, I just started the game. Really liking it as well.

I live in Seattle like him too (although my power only went for a couple hours). But the Seattle area is pretty big and full of tall trees, so when a wind storm comes through it knocks out power all over and the more populated areas like the city get power back first while the suburban areas take awhile. I've had my power out for almost a week before.

So Invizimals is essentially impossible to play unless you have a really good light source, which my apartment seems to lack. Couldn't even manage capture the first creature. Maybe I'll try it outside on a less rainy day.

Value is so skewed when it comes to videogames. I know some people consider a 3D movie ticket, a 2-3 hour one time experience, to be worth $15 without thinking about it but when I say "You should buy Journey" they say they'll wait until it's $10. And I don't think the problem is that games are too expensive or cheap, it's that they aren't priced accurately. Proteus, to me is worth the $11 I paid. If not for cross buy then for the fact that I've gotten at least 4 hours out of it with a lot more incoming.

Futurlab is the only group I see doing it right, with their variable pricing. Curve does it to a lesser extent too but, I feel like their prices are for the people who want that specific type of game and not for the general audience.

I don't really have a solution to the problem. But, yeah. Spielllllll.

I had no problems with the AR cards, cardless is more of a struggle though since my apartment only has white walls and a plain wooden floor, and the game requires some colours or pattern

Pretty late but just tried the Starlight Inception beta and I must say, this is as close to an Ace Combat(in space) as the vita will get, unless the AC devs are secretly making one.

The goods:
Visuals are pretty good, jaggies however are very noticeable
Controls are pretty tight
VA was nice
Liking the energy management idea
SPACE
Mostly solid framerate

The bads:
THE TEXT THEYRE USING IS HORRID AND SMALL
UI is bland and takes too much of the screen
Frame rate drops badly when tons of enemies show up or try to get close to the frigates
Pretty short :C

Overall, I liked what was put in but needs tons more polish. They got like a month or something so good luck to them.

You should totally give it an import. It's easy enough to navigate even if you don't know Japanese, there's a really comprehensive guide on GFAQs for anything that you might need, and the game's legitimately fun. Some really nice non-boob related character models and animations in there too. The boobs just kind of fade into the background when you really get into it.

It's sort of a musou game, isn't it?
I'd pick it up day 1 to support them from bringing it over, but I won't buy it on 3DS.
My final 3DS purchase in the foreseeable future is the new Zelda... and I don't buy digital games on my 3DS because of the lack of a proper account system (unless they're free or club Nintendo... I've spent all of $12 on the two Oracle games when they released).
