I don't live in the US. Maybe those sending the codes via email would be worth the try. 1 year of PS+ here costs around $42. Any less than that then I might go for it.

So Vanillaware ported Muramasa from the Wii to the PS Vita right?
What are the chances of Odin Sphere coming to the Vita? It introduced me to Vanillaware back in the PS2 days and I would like to play it on the go. It doesn't even need a retail release. Just a digital HD remake would suffice. Heck I would still buy it even if they don't localize it. I ain't even mad. Add in Princess Crown and Grand Knights History too. I just wanna play Vanillaware games. I just love the art. George Kamitani is a genius artist.
Edit: Just found out Grand Knights History is on the Japanese PSN. Gotta buy a new memory card.

Grand Knights History is an online focused game from what I understand, and the servers either have, or are about to be, shut down, so you probably want to look into whether the single player stuff is enough to be a worthwhile purchase.

As I said, I am fond of the art and I'm still buying it no matter what. It's my way of showing Vanillaware to keep doing what they do. Just like some people double/triple/quadruple dip on a game, I'll buy Vanillaware games too.
Edit: I forgot to mention but I'm already sold on its gameplay so its fine for just the SP stuff.

Maybe you could try using another weapon category. I don't know if the ranking is over all card colors or just for each category. If it is for each category, than going outside of assault rifles could be less crowded. Maybe that's why I got my ace rank.

As I understand it, it has to do with $ earned in a period of time... I'm #98 this week in terms of campaign $ and have a K ranking... sooooo close. :\
Sony didn't exactly have a choice as it was a third party game, that and it doesn't really sell well outside of Japan, at least historically speaking.
Capcom probably had some reason for swapping platforms, much like Square did when FF went from Nintendo to Sony.
Buy a 1 month now... or have someone get you a 1 month trial, if anyone in here has one and wants to hook you up (or check the BST thread).
Then stock up on black Friday in a few weeks when you can get 1 year codes for $30.
Could be, but it could also be another PS4 game. They are nearing the completion of inFamous Second Son, so a small team could be starting up their next project.

I just hope that sony is investing its money in a good exclusive infamous, if it's wasting money on a (bad)port or a bad game better not having it.
Bend? Their last game was released in 2011. They have enough time to make an Infamous for the Vita and move on to a PS4 project. Their new game would be at early stages, Infamous would be finished and Sony is holding it back until next year.

I see. It was pretty popular at my place though. Whenever someone sees me playing a psp they ask me if I played MH and would like to play with me. Like every psp owner has to have MH here.
I'll be grateful if you could link me the thread. Also someone with a big heart give me month trial just for Hotline Miami. Especially those who are buying a PS4 on the 15th already having PS+ prior to this since it come with some free trial of some sort.

Yeah, my money's on Bend; one of the PS representatives I spoke to who visited my college talked about Bend currently working on a Vita project. She used the word port, but I feel like after all this time, it has to be an new game. Combined with what mortimer has said, my money's on infamous.

US PS+ VITA GAMES ARE GIVEN OUT THE LAST TWO STORE UPDATES OF THE MONTH. THUS SOUL SACRIFICE AND ODDWORLD WILL BE FREE STARTING ON 11/19 AND 11/26. AS TO WHICH GAME IS FREE ON WHICH DATE, YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE.
EU PS+ CONTENT IS GIVEN OUT, IN IT'S ENTIRETY, ON THE LAST STORE UPDATE OF THE MONTH PRECEEDING THE CONTENT. FOR EXAMPLE, THE NOVEMBER EU PS+ CONTENT BECAME AVAILABLE ON 10/30. DECEMBER'S PS+ CONTENT WILL BE AVAILABLE ON 11/27.

The batteries are removable but voids the warranty. I haven't seen any seller of PS Vita batteries new or used. In any case, If you can find someone selling a replacement battery then go for it. Unless you have had your warranty expire, go to Sony.

I'm glad someone asked and you answered. I also didn't know of this. I agree that the OP should include this in a FAQ especially for everyone who are new to VitaGAF or Vita in general.

It's all SCEA being ass-backwards, as normal, and not being fair about content distribution.
You're lucky, way back when, it was a guessing game. We'd not have any clue what was going to be free for the next store update until the day before. Then SCEA started copying SCEE and telling us the full month's content in advance.
SCEE decided to up their game and just do a content dump on the last store update before the next month... this gives people who only own a Vita or may only be interested in 1 game the full month to get it and play it... whereas the SCEA system leaves people hanging and leads to questions like you just asked.
Thanks for letting us newcomers to the Vita know, wasn't sure when it updated here in the UK.

What is the appeal of Proteus? I just watched the video from Blue Maxima and a couple from the PC version, it looks like a non interactive game with outdated graphics.

And I've been pretty curious about JP PS+ for a long time. I know they have access to a buckload of PS1 games, but did they have a IGC like the US/EU one (but more according to their tastes).

I have no clue but it doesn't seem so hard if you can find a cheap vita to replace it with, no guarantees the battery would be better though:

Yes, watching the videos it looks like a relaxing game, but the issue I see with it, is the little to no interaction with the surroundings.
I just checked the EU Store, and I see the game costs 10,59 euros with the Plus discount, really? I have seen in GOG, games from the 90's with a ton more of content and better graphics for less than 5 euros. I think I will wait till the game hits the PS Plus.
P.S. @Skyzard, yes, I see the game can be a drugless trip

It's at least got tilt (see: gyro aiming, etc.) so I'm guessing it will be the same.
Counting all the system bubbles and stuff, I have 54 bubbles and 14gb left on a 64gb card. Guess I just like big games.
Do you have a lot of minis or something? PSM games?

They don't have a year-long IGC like the west but their monthly PS+ games roll over for an average of 1-3 months at a time. You can see the current ones in rotation here under 継続コンテンツ
The PS1 archives get about 11+ games added per month and stay in rotation for a year along with another separate 120+ IGC ones that also last for a year.
The real surprise here is that they're still selling PSP games from 2005

Epitome of disappointment: getting a shipping slip in the mail, thinking it's for a 64GB card...then going to pick the package up and finding out it's Angry Birds Star Wars. Don't get me wrong, I'm actually looking forward to it, but at the same time, there's no world in which it's better than a 64GB memory card.
