Really? That's odd. I just looked and EVERY Best Buy within a 50 mile radius from me has BOTH games available for store pickup right now.

Most of them. You can play every game that doesn't need pointer controls. Off the top of my head I'd say all of them but Metroid Blast. CMIIW.

Probably because it's the only version that wasn't done by the primary developers of the game. Human Head managed to make a better version of their game in the same timeframe, with probably less resources.

My WiiU just arrived and I had a question, do they not have seals on them? There's no cut seal but there's no seal at all which is odd for a console. Just want to make sure it's normal.
Where? On the console itself? Nintendo never has any seals anywhere.

All their handhelds have seals keeping the tabs of the box closed. I could have sworn Wii was the same way but I'm not sure now since I bought it at launch. There's no seal keeping you from opening the box is what I meant.

well if they are working on something with Nintendo it makes sense they'd want to work extra hard on this to keep in Nintendo's good books
Oh the box. No clue. I don't think it does since they have those colored tapes "sealing" the wrapping around the hardware and stuff like that. Once you remove them, they're tough to put back on, iirc.

Ah, ok. I was just nervous since the download codes are in an unsealed plastic sleeve and the first thing you see.
oh. maybe it's that best buy doesn't have either for display, even in the wii u section. i know target doesn't have any at all though.
I almost haven't played my Wii U since buying it in September but around Christmas it's gonna get some serious play time if I get the 2 Wii remote plus controllers and a nunchuck.

It's entirely possible. When Best Buy had Batman AC on sale for $20 in the spring, I went to grab one and they had none on display. I also asked about Most Wanted U and those weren't on display either. I had to ask at the customer service desk, and they had a dozen or so copies of each sitting in the back.
Just how every game is rushed out these days. Maybe they will be patched, maybe not.
Enough so that the way to judge a multiplat game is by which has the fewest bugs.
Of course this is a very broad look at things. I just thought it was funny.
It annoys me that I can't use the Gamrpad as a sensor for all games.
Pikmin would be great using the sensor. Since I have a projector set up I have to run the sensor to my coffee table going over the couch. Then put it back after. I have a couple of wireless bars but they don't work well at all.
Is that a worldwide release?Ducktales needs to be added to OP, now that it's coming retail at Nov 12th!

I believe you can use those controllers for 3D World. Haven't played Mario Galaxy on the GamePad unfortunately.
Yes, you can use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk control scheme in 3D World. And Galaxy on the GamePad is exactly as you would expect. It's like playing on a small TV.

I have Batman on PC already and Deus Ex does look really good. I just might do that.

The Gamepad has a sensor bar built in if that's what your wondering about.
good luck finding ac4 and cod ghost. ac4 isn't in stock at all and neither is batman.
Wow, just found out that I have spent around 5.5 hours in all on my Wii U since buying it in August. :/

Was it undershipped? Well the sale starts next week so I hope more stock comes in.
But really, is there anything I have learned through the years being part of GAF is, that I shouldn't listen to GAF's opinion most of the time, cause which games I'm attracted to differs many times, because we are many individuals. I have always wanted to love Platinum Games but I realize their games are just not my type of games anymore. I have been burned too many times on recommendations where I have only played a game for a week maximum before getting bored.
Anyway, here's hoping Nintendo will release demos of some of their own games on their eShop service some day.

I can understand. Luckily, I know my own taste in games, so I know what I'll like to play. Some games people here swear by are games I'd never touch. I do enjoy experimenting sometimes, though. But that's something I do on my own. Funny enough, I generally don't like Nintendo's games, yet their systems are my most played. Crazy how that works out.
I agree on this one. Good thing there's a demo out there or I'll regret wasting my money on a game I won't even play or even enjoy.

Regarding Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.. do we know if we still have to shake/waggle our controllers to perform tricks? I recently finished Country Returns and my God it was a frustrating mechanic.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Are you referring to the ground pound and blow moves? Im pretty sure blow is gone, but i forget...
Ill never understand this type of thinking. Is 100 dollars not worth 2 years time with the machine?
