Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

Regarding P4G, I'm
working through the dungeon trying to rescue Yukiko (i think that's the one), where it's like she's hosting a TV show?

So my team consists of Chie and Yosuke at the moment.

Ah, ok. For me, the game really didn't grab me until after that section. I think I was still wrestling with the mechanics, as it was my first Persona game. I already enjoyed the characters, and the mystery aspect of the story was interesting, but I was still fumbling with time management and Social Links.

Eventually, I got into a groove, and the narrative, mixed with the Persona collecting aspect finally gelled with me, and I fell in love with the game. I think I had invested a good 10+ hours into the game before I really got going with it. As a related aside, I finally completed the game after about 135+ hours sunk into it, still not having maxed out all Social Links, or fused all Persona. I'll start a New Game + eventually, but I'm working through my backlog.

EDIT: Holy SHIT! I finally got top of the page! Now I'm at a complete blank as to what to fricking recommend...

EDIT 2:

My Top Vita picks:

1) Guacamelee
2) Killzone: Mercenary
3) LittleBigPlanet Vita
4) Dragon's Crown
5) Soul Sacrifice
6) Persona 4: The Golden

No particular order, but they are all awesome.

So vitabros who here is getting the vita a best friend aka ps4?

You mean my future PSN+ free content consumptiom machine ?

Personally I'm getting one around spring when shops will be forced to start compete on price and not just availability.

Besides my ps4 funds get defrauded constantly first by GTX 770 and now there's that new Eizo display and with only Resogun interesting me i don't feel much pressure to get ps4 at launch.

Don't you guys think it's a little weird that we're about 10 days from launch and we still know nothing about how remote play or the OS in general works?

They pretty much said Remote Play works like how it worked on the PS3/Vita, but, ideally, smoother?

But like you said, we're 10 days away. That's 10 days of PS Blog posts I'm sure they'll drip feed more stuff to us as hype builds until launch.

Looks like Tearaway will be my first physical Vita game. The week after is black friday and I'm gonna take advantage of Toys R Us' buy 1 get 1 40% off deal

Any love for WRC4 here? I have to say, after the disappointment of WRC3, I'm pretty damn blown away by how great the Vita version looks and plays!

I always wanted DIRT for Vita, and this has actually surpassed what I would have expected from a Vita DIRT game. Just a shame there isn't the off road circuit racing in it, but it's a pure WRC game so that's to be expected.

I just looked at the "knockout" sale prices. How do they justify charging twice what the game was on sale for the last time.

You think people who didn't buy DoA5+ at $10 are going to drop $22 on it this time around? C'mon now...

Did someone say Vita firmware tomorrow???

Its really happening?!!

Tearaway is my next retail store video game purchase. The love is pouring in...

I'm gonna play through P4G at least another 2 times in addition to the 2 already. Gotta get dat Platinum.
Top page recommendation edits are now a thing. I'm excited.

I'm hesitant to think that's their line of thinking. PSN isn't Steam. Stuff doesn't drop down %80 on a weekly basis just because.

exactly - woulda bought MK for 5$ this time around, since i passed it up for one reason or another....not buying it at (though still low) a price higher than what i know it'll be offered again at

Could PocketStation be a resurrection of the premise with the original Pocket Station and VMU?

PS4 games have a Vita game that can be transferred across to develop/level up your character, boost you money in game or whatever? Then when you get back you can return the improved save and carry on from home?

That would make Vita the ultimate PS4 companion, and possibly explain why there isn't a single Western Vita title in development atm that has been announced beyond Tearaway.

It would also make Vita something seriously worth considering for any PS4 owner.

New firmware update is nice and all, but I just want a Vita 2000 and TV announcement. I'm more excited for those two than the upcoming consoles, really.

how much do yall wanna bet that download bug won't be fixed in 3.0
Zero dollars. That's a dangerous bet.

It could be. There's a lot of confusion about Yakuza Ishin for example. They mention that it is cross-play but there is no Yakuza Ishin game coming to Vita. People assumed they made a mistake and wanted to say Remote Play but then in a Famitsu interview they again reference a Vita game. So a PockeStation-like concept could be on the way. Then again why would SCEJA announce it, why announce it now when they could have 2 montsh ago?

Ordered God Eater 2 and having it ship together with Akiba's Trip 2. My kanji knowledge is non-existently terrible, but damn if I'm not going to enjoy the hell out of the story. It looks wonderful.

Any upcoming Black Friday deals on Vita systems popping up yet? Wanna grab a new one for my JP account.

I guess it'd be a bigger deal with Japan, and the PS4 isn't due out there until next year?

Though other possibilities are an iOS/Android app etc for this Pocket Station thing.

Anyone want to play PSASBR, LBP, Sonic Racing Transformed, EDF or erm I dunno, golf lol?

Oh yeah killzone or DC, yet to play that online properly though. got a level 28 erm sorceress? (bouncy).

or wipeout of course

while we wait for the firmware to land :P

if you all play soul sacrifice I will cry, it's like the only game I've seen you lot play together with any regularity. maybe the only popular one, apart from DC.

Up for it over the next few hours, set up a party and throw me an invite (pm if you don't have me on friends yet)

we don't play enough together, join me

i'll play with ya another time!! sorry for the false hope.

hokay :(

will drive around in nfs for a while then, getting dizzy from all the spinning in WRC4 (btw toto, if you don't have 3, grab 4 - so much fun, not sure how much of an improvement it is though - never owned the previous game) - but don't get it if you want to mostly drive in cockpit views. Bonnet cam is more acceptable (in terms of framedrops). I'm not saying it's totally polished or anything but it was £30 digital here, totally worth it for that bonnet cam view.

Speculating on Vita Firmware is like buying a Lottery Ticket. Nothing you want is ever gonna happen, but for a few hours, you get to dream.

^ hope there are surprises and the damn parental controls app can be deleted - imagine if you had to delete a game for it lol

btw those who bought a 64, what did you do with the old 32?
(VitaTV?)

I'm keeping mine until a possibly even bigger card comes out or drops in price more, but then I need it to hold quite a few games still.

If you think it's enough then sell it off I guess, before the 64 comes out locally would be better too.

Thanks gaf-brethren I guess I'll dip once Black Friday comes around with persona 4
The Vita is worth it all on it's own. The PS4 will make me never put it down. Besides the PS4 itself. If you'd like, you might want to buy P4G on the store right now. While it's $20.

Quick question: I now have my launch day Vita with a 16gb card and some games. This is a EU Vita with EU psn and EU retail games. I am however waiting for years to get the legend of dragoon on PSN and i am starting to give up hope on it ever showing up.

Recently i found out my Vita came with a 8gb vita card(stupid for noticing this later i know) and i thought about making this my US psn card so i can play the legend of dragoon on my Vita.

I only wonder about one thing, if i remove my 16gb card will it also reset the bubbles? Or will it return the bubbles to normal once i re-insert my 16gb card. I am just OCD enough to not switch cards in this case since i don't want to replace my bubbles / backgrounds everytime i switch memory cards.

Since you have to factory reset the Vita system to switch accounts, any bubbles from physical carts as well those for system apps will be wiped/reset.

My Vita doesn't have any charge right now, so I don't know what will happen when you remove the memory card and reinsert it, but why don't you test it? :P

you'll have to reset the entire vita to switch accounts - pretty sure your bubbles won't be saved exactly how you like them although I'm not 100%. I've noticed it getting better with approximate positions and backgrounds lol but I'm not sure between accounts, maybe someone else will know.

The testing reason is exactly that i don't like setting up everything again since i have like 10 screens / backgrounds specific for that screen :P

Guess i'm out of luck but since i am jus too much of a fan i will take the risk and re-establish everything after i beat the game!

I thought I could play shadow of the colossus and ICO on vita via remote play, but when I try through the remote play app it says it's not supported.

Was I incorrect or is it a router issue? My ps3 is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

Did you patch the game?
