Twitch streaming from PS4 is now live

OMG can some who is not a junior member please start a thread posting the Link to the Madden 25 ps4 live stream. This reallly needs to get out there, EA needs to get exposed. This game looks just like the Ps3 version

Streams look great to me, especially for not being HD. They're smooth and consistent with minimal sputtering. Way better than I expected, honestly.

That looks pretty awesome, I hope XB1's works the same way. I can totally see myself streaming to twitch on my day off and sending my buddies at work the link to watch if they're bored. Great feature!

pretty sure I've seen over the last few days Sony mention that you will need over 2Mb for a "high quality" stream. 2Mb or less and your quality is going to be totally YMMV.

FWIW, between going all digital this gen and twitch streaming I just upped my time warner to 30x5 for $55. Yeah it's $240 more per year... but in the long run it's going to pay off. We've already had more than a few times were there were two or even three streams going in the house at a time.

I'm upping my speeds to that as well, 2 mbps is ok but I want people to be able to see me play in HD.

I remember one of the features announced way back when was the ability to watch a friends game and then, with their permission, take control from my own PS4. Has there been any more info about whether this feature is still in, how it will work, whether you need to have the game yourself, etc?
This is a feature I'm really excited for.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Is there any way to have the viewers see the camera capture while the player doesn't. I wanted to stream with the camera but not if I have to play with that ui overlay.

Yeesh. We get 60/35 here for a similar price.

Not at launch. They haven't said anything else about it since. I think it may depend on Gaikai?

I saw something about being able to close the chat but nothing about closing the side bar on the right

We already get 30mb download speed but our ISP gives 10% of the download speed, so technically it should be 3 mb but we get 1.9 to 2mb. Thinking about paying £5 extra every month to get 60mb so that'll give us 4 to 5mb upload speed.

Knack doesn't look too good from a gameplay and technical perspective(objects in the game world disappear too quickly).

I have seen several Taco Bell PS4 streams pop up for the PS4. A few killzone ones and a Res0gun one. Seems like more and more people are getting those Taco Bell PS4's early. Also, the dude playing Knack for the past like 6 hours says it is actually really good, he doesn't know what is up with the Reviews.

From what I have seen of it, looks fantastic.

Me and the rest of GAF-FGC will definitely put this to use once fighting games start coming out on PS4. Many of us are hoping for a USF4 port to PS4. That will hold us over until real next gen fighters come out. Should be fun to stream GAF sessions. I have 30/4 right now, so that should pump out a decent stream if I streamed some lobby play.

Is there any facebook PS4 videos or twitter screenshots yet? I want to see the quality.

Pretty damn good. No complaints.

Any facebook footage yet? Streaming looks iffy. Some streams have good quality. Some streams have poor quality.

I've checked three of these PS4 streams on Twitch Analyzer and the encoding is 960x540 at 1.3Mbps. That's bad...

Two Killzone streams:

http://www.twitch.tv/imbearygood (SP, fullscreen, Best preset)
http://www.twitch.tv/jed05 (MP, chat and cam overlays, High preset)

-Apparently there are just presets, low, medium, high, and best. I'm not sure if those are the exact presets, but no manual bitrate settings.

-Best appears to be 540p 30fps.

-According to imbearygood, he has 30mbps up and the quality using Best is decent, but poor in high motion/detail scenes.

-jed05 has been having chat issues with it showing on stream, however it was working earlier.

-Twitch emotes do not work on PS4 chat.

I checked to see if their was a Ustream stream. It doesn't look like anyone is streaming from Ustream. But it looks like Sony is holding a Brazil Game show right now as I type. It's in English and they are showing off PS4 games. I guess no one is interested though since they're probably not going to show anything new.

Second stream(jed05):

From Twitch Analyzer. Bitrates seem to vary even from the same preset, the highest bitrate I've seen is 1.6Mbps.

Hopefully we'll see bitrate and resolution improve over time. Was hoping for 720p, but 540p can look great as well if you give it enough bw to work with. Best is better than I expected and the overlays are nice, but overall streaming direct PS4 is just shy of being a good streaming platform. It's at least convenient, and to many, that matters most.

This is the kind of quality twitch.tv is capable of(I don't watch that channel btw, it's just a quality example). What the PS4 is outputting is a huge downgrade from that.

Hopefully these are just temporary settings that will be used for the first few months so as not to overload twitch servers.
