Twitch streaming from PS4 is now live

I don't know if this is the most appropriate thread for this, but it's at least the most recent and relevant in order to get the discussion started.

I'm a partner and admin on Twitch, therefor I can create Twitch Teams. What if I were to make one for GAF? I already fired off a message to EviLore to get his blessing on this, but let's assume he approves and figure out the basic details now so I can get it setup by the end of the day, before the official PS4 launch.

Specifically I need a team name(such as NeoGAF), short team name(GAF) and URL(http://twitch.tv/team/neogaf) to create it. The rest, such as color, banner, and logo can come later. Membership would of course be open to all GAF members.

What's a Twitch Team? Here's the Twitch Admin Team I'm on, and there are many others.

I am currently watching http://www.twitch.tv/kewabu .
Right now he's playing killzone online (he did play some campaign), but he already played some resogun and warframe.

The GAF twitch team sounds cool...

Anyway I'm wondering what upload bandwidth do you need to get a good stream via the PS4 twitch-style streaming. If a lot and you can't customize it (so you can get a good quality stream with less bandwidth) then I might as well see if I can get a cheap HDCP/HDMI splitter thing.

Suppose we'll find out more details when it's officially out in the US.

This would be pretty cool, would it be limited to PS4 streaming though? I stream from Twitch for PC games too.

This is a just a damn cool feature, I would totally use this.
Not to start anything, just asking, but does anyone know if this will be available for XB1 day 1 as well?
Really nice feature, looks to work great on the PS4 right off the bat too!
 
Watched a NBA 2K14 stream laste night from Shakedown, it looked great. That's really a top feature to have. Unfortunately will never be able to take advantage of it with my crappy connection :/

This would be really exciting! Let's get this done
 
My streams work well with a 2.9 - 3Mbps upload speed (stream in 720+p) and it works great.

But PS4 might require more to get a good quality stream going (compared to using a normal capture card) assuming you can't customize much + it auto-adjusts the quality based on your connection speed.
 
I linked my account but how do I actually start streaming to Twitch?


Edit: ok I figured it out, you have to be in a game.

Is it not possible to broadcast on twitch and play in full screen?
 
I suppose I can start collecting names and channels to add if/when the Team is up.

Looks like it, the stream I'm watching now was full screen, then the guy did something and turned the border on as loads of people kept asking "is this direct from the PS4?".

I really think this is an ingenious idea by Sony. This could spark a new phenomenon where everyone is a lets player. The diversity of opinion surrounding games on the internet will explode.

Having said that, we all know GAF will 504 tomorrow, but are we under any illusions that Twitch and Ustream won't as well?
