PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

I'm currently in the US but I couldn't pre-order one while I was in the UK. Hard to get hold of one, it's so cloooose to me too!

Two weeks is nothing plus I plan to play blu-rays on mine so don't want a region 1 player.

I've been really hyped for this console launch, but since everything seems to have gotten delayed I'm not sure what I'll even use it for... The game I was really excited for was InFamous Second Son, and it seems to be slated for March 2014. And I'm not really sure what game after that, that has been confirmed, that I am anticipating. Has there even been any announced, for the rest of 2014? Am I the only one thinking of bailing on the launch?
 
Another day to get through. At least today when I look at the Outlook calendar at work it's into the third week of the month. PS4 officially launches next week.. eep!

NFS: Rivals
Assassin's Creed IV
FIFA 14

I'm undecided whether to take the second game pad or the camera...

What do you recommend?
 
I'll be getting my PS4 and Killzone SF on the 29th. The few other games i'm interested in are Resogun and Flower. Two days after that i will be going on a vacation for two weeks (traveling to another country) so i won't have any time to play with it. I might cancel my preorder and pick it up in Februari instead. I dunno..

If you buy the megabundle then you have the game pad, camera and killzone for only 100 euro.
 
Girlfriend had preordered me a day one Killzone bundle with Very for £400 which I was happy with and was going to purchase additonal controller and camera for £78. Amazon however updated my more recent order to the Killzone Mega Bundle for £430 which she has said she will pay out all by herself. Amazon claim to have it with me before Christmas, decided that for the saving I can buckle down and wait it out!

Also have BF4, FIFA 14 and Injustice on preorder, so those will arrive and be teasing me till the Amazon man arrives!
 
one of my twitter buddies said yesterday that Shopto were processing his order, already paid off, so he was getting a bit excited about it being sent early.
 
hi my name is Fistwell and I've preordered a PS4 in June and I got like almost 2 more weeks to wait and I've been playing terraria and blops 2 in the meantime cause bf4 and codgho MP are just too shit on PC
 
I wonder how soon the price will be dropping. 449€(~600USD) is way too much for just a console and a controller. Under 400€ would be pretty good price point for me.

It's difficult to say, but considering that the PS4 price is already quite cheap for a new console, that the One is 100€ more and that PS4 will probably sell very well...I wouldn't expect any price drops untill the end of next year or even spring 2015.

If they did, I'd hope it started a chain reaction and all retailers start to release early! Kinda.
 
Just a heads up, you can get the new playstation app on the iphone early if you have the old app downloaded in the past, if you still have it on the iphone, delete it then:


App Store>updates>purchased> *search for playstation*

New app should download then.

Didn't stop him getting excited though ;) I have one with gameseek and the other with simplygames. I'm hoping at least one will send for thursday delivery, really hoping for Wednesday!! yes I can dream lol
 
Has it been confirmed that shopto won't send it out early because I received my wiiu early from them. I have one preordered at shopto and amazon so will just cancel my shopto one if there is no chance of getting it early
 
If I don't get PS4 on launch, I'll be making a blacklist with all you people who preordered 2 or more, just so you know. And don't you dare and record a video like that one "I have 3 PS3s"...

Amazon shipped my ratchet and clank game this thursday arrived Saturday by royal fail. Just hope they dont use parcel farce for the PS4's.

I can see quite a few not getting their PS4 until the Saturday or even the Monday, there's a reason shops were sending out early in the UK and it's all down to the shoddy delivery services we now put up with.

Since retailers were told to tighten up their shipment dates its got a lot worse for getting your items on release day.

A bunch of multiplat stuff like Destiny of course. More announcements at VGX and E3 I reckon.

Well despite telling myself I would wait until after Christmas I buckled and ordered a Vita this morning. Too many solid impressions of remote play and I've got a few games lined up thanks to Plus that'll make the next 11 days slightly more bearable.
 
i won't be able to get one this year :( my car need to be fixed first ... I'll try to be ready for that Infamous pack though :p
 
In anticipation I started prepping:

Status: done

Step 2: wait for shipment to arrive
Status: ongoing

The open beta is early 2014 (near PS4 Japanese launch). I don't think the actual release date has been announced but if the beta is that early 2014 I'd hope we'll be playing the full game by this time next year anyway.

They said not on twitter 28th dispatch date.

FYI for all those not got the email yet. It does say they will start processing from Saturday 16th Nov (even though i only got the email today) so make sure you have the funds in your account
