What if May and Ward were just having an innocent conversation.

Not as good as last week, but still a solid episode. I like the hints of backstory we got for Ward and May. (And possible hookup?!?!)

Also, damn does Clark Gregg have some guns, let's move that towel a little lower next time please. (Ward's shirtless scene was pretty lovely too. Thanks SHIELD.)

Finally, a show about Shield agents that have actually marvel comics elements woven into a story and it didn't suck. More of this please

OH MY GOD IT'S FUCKING DOLLHOUSE

That phrasing is obviously to troll, but that's the phrasing for all dolls. Whedon you sneak

Did I fall asleep?

For a little while.....

Yuuuup. Nice reference. For those few who don't know Jed and Mo both worked on Dollhouse, Mo was even one of the lesser shown dolls in a couple eps.

I thought we saw Skye's (white, dead) mom earlier in a photo, no?

It was sort of implied visually but not confirmed. What I found interesting though was May's phrasing when talking about what she saw. "I see it everyday." Yet another tease/red herring stirring the pot of viewer theories.

Well people kept saying they hoped SHIELD would take some notes from Arrow. Hahaha.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
guys, i haven't seen Thor 2 so far, i'll see it later this week, will this episode spoil anything ?

The most encouraging part of this episode was when Janosz from Ghostbusters II told Ward that he was doomed to have an actual personality for the next 20 years.

God, that was boring. Boring procedural story with boring characters doing boring things. And if you expected any tie-in to Thor 2, prepare to be pretty disappointed because they took the easy way out.

I'll give the show another two episodes and if they don't shape up, I'm out. Maybe it'll improve later on but my time is valuable and I don't like wasting it in boredom.

if you can't handle a procedural series, you might as well bail out now

it's never going to be entirely serialized

expect problem-of-the-week with a few ongoing plots in the background until season finales/premieres and the occasional episode moving the background plots forward.

Really good episode.

I liked it how that guy turned out to be a real Asgardian.

He doesn't look strong or buff at all but seeing him block that knife with his hand and break those handcuffs with no effort was pretty sweet.

Why would Asgardians need slave (or maybe just standard manual) labour to break rocks? They've got all sorts of crazy technology.

P.S. I enjoyed the episode. Also, +1 for the Skye/Simmons pairing.

Great episode. Didn't see the guy being Asgardian coming. Also, the stuff with Ward was quite well done. The tie-ins to Thor 2 were meh, haha.

You know that's right.

Didn't anyone else notice that for a brief few minutes at the start not only were the sets the same for thor 2, the lighting and color were too. Then switching back to it's dumb story in norway. Just showed how jarringly bad the shows cinematography is.

Grey's Anatomy.

Yup. Scandal too.

ERMYGERD!
Is that a reason to skip a good show? It is funny, it is uplifting, it has good stories, it has nice characters and it is a show that doesn't care about race or sexuality.

It always struck me as a typical girl-show. Girl coeds, girl problems, girl girl girl. And then there's McDreamy. I dunno, I always thought of it as the hospital version of Sex and the City.

I really need to start that show.

Everyone around me was talking about the show so i decided to give it ago. Shonda rhymes is talented. It isn't exactly my cup of tea but it's a quality show. Can't believe she isn't writting any movies yet. For one she seems like the only person that can create strong african american leads.

I seriously doubt it. Apart from Modern Family, where it's part of the overall plot, are there any shows that have gay relationships?
Wait, I don't understand this statement. Are there any shows (and/or movies for that matter) with gay relationships that aren't part of the overall plot? One would think that any kind of relationship, straight or gay, would be a part of any plot.

With the way Asgard has integrated super science into the galaxy's longest running LARP, their freakin' rocks are probably like, quantum entangled matter with special properties.

Their masons could have the equivalent of PHDs.

I believe that this episode was originally going to air before last week's, which explains the references to E6 and the repetitive Coulson beat in the tag.
