We probably won't see that until 2017-18 and by then there will probably be something new on the market over the Vita whether its a handheld or mobile.

It would be one hell of a year for jrpg come back though KH3, FFXV, P5.. oh damn think about that

I certainly am not mad about the 3DS game, I love that the 3DS is getting a bigger and bigger library.


But let's be honest. If they're building up to a big announcement it's expected to be the next major sequel, it's like that with any company.

I really hope will happen. I'm still keeping my PS3 but the console will be 8 when this game releases. It's time to move on.
 
So when do you guys expect to start seeing information flow about this game. It has to be soon right? The release is only a year away.
 
I may be getting a 3DS soon so I'm hype for all the games. Very likely I'll be settled in my career by then too so I'm a happy person.

But seriously though, that teaser was excellent. Loved the imagery, gave me good vibes about the route they're taking.

That was the reason they region locked it. About Europe being late it was just slow publisher and Atlus didn't send them codes on time I believe.

Most likely none of them thought it would actually be, but they were just voicing their wishful thinking. It's a good thing that it's on the PS3, angering the fanbase of one of their biggest franchises by putting the series on less desirable hardware would have made me sad.

P3 and P4 had far more substantial reveals, though, and asset reuse from previous PS2 SMTs helped speed up that development time. The reveal we've gotten was about on par with SMT IV's reveal; a teaser in Famitsu and a teaser website that was mostly quiet until the Soul Hackers trailer 3 months later. I feel like they'd be showing off much more if this game was coming out in 3-4 months.

That's just for Japanese version. Unless you can read Japanese? If not its more than likely going to be longer than a year to play it in English.

Some folks have unrealistic expectations of Japanese developers catering to a market that barely plays consoles and won't even get the PS4 until next year (and even then, won't flock to it in droves).

2014 from Japan brings Metal Gear, Deep Down and maybe some other cross-gen titles for PS4. That's it.
Anyone that consumes Japanese games should be expecting PS3 and handheld focus through 2015, at least. This is hardly a new thing.
(Due to the different system ownership demographics between North America & Japan, I would expect a timely translation from Sega/Atlus on P5 once it's out.)

But that was the second Persona game on the PS2. This is the first Persona game on PS3.

Please, Atlus, do not region lock this game. I will import this day one from US, since I wouldn't be able to wait 9+ months until EU gets a date.
