Not really true. There are plenty of clubs and activities in colleges.(and uni students usually dont go to clubs).

Persona 3 was a lot more corny then persona 4.
Someone tweet YOSP to ask Sony to help Atlus make a PS4 port.
Anyone think that the PS4 version announcement will be dropped later on, say at TGS or E3 alongside the first big major trailer? I've got a feeling...and that's a lot of incorrect insiders if a PS4 port doesn't happen.

I hope this time around the characters act more like Persona 3 characters. Persona 4 characters are pretty great, but I hated how overly corny and kiddy they were.
"Let's go investigate!"
"We're the investigation team."
"Let's meet at our base and talk this over."
Even Yoskue later on said in his social linkIt was just a little too much in the kiddy side. I felt like I was playing detective with a bunch of kids sometimes because of lines like that."I only started doing this because I finally felt like I was special."
Persona 3 felt a lot more mature, and everyone knew the danger and gear'd for it. Hi-tech computers in the building, everyone is serious (and it's very noticeable), and they don't call themselves anything corny like "the investigation team." The cast still has fun, but they know when it's fun time and time to be serious.
Hopefully this trailer is true and it's more darker theme'd. I still want the cast too be fun, but not Persona 4 fun.
In Japan. You talking western or eastern colleges?
I still to this day have to pick up Persona 3 FES, I played Persona 4 for 60 hours, got towards late Spring of the school year, stopped playing entirely, and then deleted the save so I can restart.
Persona 4 gets a lot of stuff right and it's pretty endearing, but you're right, the cast got really corny at times. From what I heat Persona 3 seems more grounded and less bubbly.
I just hope they bring back party member development as part of the story, like in P3, instead of having it defined by social links, like in P4.

I won't spoil but Persona 3 becomes downright depressing in the last segment.
There should be a mixture of both. I don't want it like P3 because I think it was silly that you could only have an S-link with the party member if there was an opportunity to jump in their pants.
P3 characters felt like actual people for the most part.
P4 characters did nothing but worship MC.
Fight me

Did you see the 'good' ending to Persona 4? That's the corniest thing I've EVER seen in a video game.
From what I've seen Persona 3 seems more melodramatic, while Persona 4 feels more corny.
This has probably been answered but is the Winter 2014 release just for Japan?
But have they?
True, but I really disliked how no matter how much development a character got in a P4 social link, it literally had no affect whatsoever on the main story in P4. At times, their behavior even goes against all the development their social link gave them.
It really depends on the college. Maybe in the city students might feel they have more things to do, the idea was that it does exist and a game could take place in college and not be completely dissimilar in structure to previous games. What he's saying is really true in my experiences. Japanese college students are more likely to spend the weekend with group Circle social activities in places like Ikebukuro than slumming in clubs in Roppongi. FAR FAR FAR more likely.
This is pretty accurate, I rather to use "edgy" though
They need to put thing in-between
THEY WILL BRING IT OVER TO AMERICA.
pls.
True! This is correct.
In P4 ending, when they are like "Senpai, I will wait until the end of the world, living for the hope that I might one day see your beautiful face once more, and I might be able to bask in the glory of your magnificent splendor." And the MC looks around and goes "...mh." and walks away. LOL, he hates those kids so bad.
I hate in P3 how you'd have too choices like:
1. Keep believing in yourself.
2. Eat a dick, you fat whore.
And you pick '1' and they are like "YOU DON"T KNOW ME!" and the social link gets reversed.
Persona 5 finally gets announced and people are upset because it's for PS3
ffs
Actual People? lol. In Persona 3, everyone has terrible problems that they fling at you way too fast.
Social Link lvl 1: "I don't know if I can swim fast enough to win this big race."
Social Link lvl 7: "My stepdad is touching my little brother, but my Mom has cancer and needs his financial support. I don't know what to do."
At least in P4, although they knob-slob the MC too much, they have more realistic problems.
PS3 would have sounded good from like 2009-2011
Even in high schools most students these days don't go to clubs, while there are some at unis I've never actually met someone who went to a club. Not saying they don't exist but it's not the same as in high school. Not really true. There are plenty of clubs and activities in colleges.
Which is why the smart (and obvious) decision would be to have the s-links gated based on where in the main story you are and where you are in other s-links because your progress in the s-links should affect dialogue and scenarios in the main game while the main game should affect what is being discussed in the s-link plus s-links shouldn't be walled off encounters anymore, they should meet and mingle with each other as well and not just always revolve around the MC.
Shit, I'll take terrible problems over "omg MC....I MIGHT HAVE TO MOVE AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WITH MY LIFE!"

Persona 10 to be set in Baltimore. When not fighting shadows or one's self, you'll have to combat the streets and everyday life.

What I'm hoping for as well. Whether it actually happens though is up in the air. I'm less willing to believe that everything won't revolve around the MC though.
This. This so much. It's a big part of why I loved P4 more than P3.That is precisely why I liked P4's cast better. P3's cast didn't feel very natural, especially with their high-tech organization backing them up.
P4's cast actually felt like a group of school friends, while P3's felt more like just "associates" most of the time...
PS3 would have sounded good from like 2009-2011
