That shouldn't be surprising, since people of Asian ancestry only make up less than 6 percent of the population of the US.
Physical attractive and hair length are usually pretty connected. Long hair can slim the face, while short hair might bring out the chin. Some girls look much better with short hair than they would otherwise, and some guys look much better with long hair.
This is just an anecdote, but I used to have a small crush on Emma Watson. When she cut her hair, I stopped feeling it.

My mother came in from out of town to visit me for the holidays, and she managed to get me to watch 3 straight hours of "Braxton Family Values". I caught one look at Toni Braxton with short hair, and I screamed out, "WHAT HAPPENED TO HER????"
An episode or so later, she had long hair.....and I fell back in love. I wouldn't say hair makes someone go from "ugly to hot" (and vice versa), but I would say that it makes a person go from hot to HOTTER/hot to less hot.
For the record: I prefer long-haired Miley

That was riding off Hannah Montana, hell the first album she did had Hannah Montana in the title of the album. And having little kids as your fanbase (and potential pedophiles) won't last forever.
As seen with her 3rd album, which didn't chart, "Can't Be Tamed". Which is when she started the 'mature' switch. Though it was tame at the time. At least based on the cover, I don't know about the songs or videos.

I also remember her views on race being offputting, but I dont remember exactly what it was that made me feel that way so idk.

But in my defense, she had this curly-lookin short hairdo on the show....nothing like the haircut on the album cover. So maybe it's not exclusively the length of the hair, but the hairdo itself.
EDIT: But she was still hot either way though. Short, curly hair Toni (on the show): 9/10. Long-haired Toni (on the show): 11/10. Toni on that album cover: omg/10

sure, i find her attractive. but not nearly to the degree that warrants the huge deal being made about her. there are hotter girls who do crazier stuff, some that i even know personally. but as others have mentioned, she just comes across as trying too hard.

I don't find her attractive at all - I've always thought she was appealing because of how 'normal' she looks. Between Britney Spears, The Simpson sisters, Mandy Moore etc she's not even in the same tier.
