Octodad: Dadliest Catch is set to release on Steam, Humble, and GOG on January 30th, 2014.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about daily life.

Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. Opposing the octopus are scores of staircases, boxes of banana peels, and one intense sushi chef.

Octodad has gotten himself in a bind between his wife's mounting mistrust, and a disastrous trip to the local aquarium! Manipulate his body like a squishy marionette to maintain the masquerade, as too much suspicion from the proper populace will doom him to sleep with the fishes!

Can't wait. No joke, this is my most anticipated ps4 title. Hope it comes to ps4 sooner rather than later.

The trailer was removed from PSN. I'm worried.
I was going to say something about it last week, but I didn't want to make a thread or practice necromancy.

So weird to see Sony and Microsoft continuing to hype these 'exclusive' or 'timed exclusive' games only to have them appear on PC before or day-and-date.

It's like they really think there is a huge difference between the PC gamer and the console gamer. I'm not sure how true that is anymore.

I want a date for the PS4 version. It's one of my most anticipated games lol

Did they say anything about it being free with Plus? Like Don't Starve or Outlast.

I can't get my head around how this will work controls-wise, wasn't it supposed to be a motion-controlled game at first?

In for PC version; I assume I'll get the PS4 version from Plus eventually, but since the first game was free, I failed to back the Kickstarter, and the control scheme is a huge part of the game I'm happy to pay for the PC version.

Plus I'm impatient and want it now.

Sorry March is still a ways off, ya'll. We're doing our best to get it out the door ASAP.

We'd been working on the PC release long before we hooked up with Sony, and we promised it to Kickstarter backers first.

Truth is that we're running out of money to pay rent, eat food, and those sorts of things so we wanted to get it out on PC first to give ourselves some cushion to finish the PS4 version.

Hope you enjoyed the trailer!

This is exactly why people were angry about the launch parity clause from MS.

Good luck, dude. I can't wait for this game and I hope it does well.

That's understandable, I'm pretty fond of eating food too.

Wish all devs were this open and direct.
