Dealbreaker though, does it have native gamepad support?
RE4 has only ever had native gamepad support.

I will enter it with an open mind. It's the gameplay and pacing I hear the most praise about anyway.
HD remake on PC wtf? ive been playing RE4 in HD for years
Doesn't look that much different from the PS3 version.
Damn. May have to get this.
Have it on Wii and had it on Gamecube but never got very far.
Would love to beat it.

There is some really surprising optimism going on in this thread.
My guess is it will have shit options, only go up to 1080, use the 480p fmv instead of in game cutscenes, and probably something else new they found to mess up.
Recommended System Requirements:
OS: Windows Vista®, Windows 7, Windows 8
Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better
Memory: 4 GB RAM / Hard Disk Space: 15 GB free hard drive space
Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
Ah'll buy it at a high price!
I haven't played any of them, other than a PS1 version once at a friends house.Sound good, but hasn't everybody played this game already in some way or another?
Aren't the fan-made texture mods better than what this release will have to offer?

WTF @ those specs, a GTX560 recommended to run a 9 year old game?
All of Capcom's PC ports have been great lately. Revelations had an issue at launch but it was fixed. There is some really surprising optimism going on in this thread. Shame it won't have pointer controls. RE4 Wii on Dolphin plays amazingly with a mouse.
If I could put up with 30 hours of Resident Evil 6's turd pie, I can happily enjoy 25 hours of Resident Evil 4's glory. I finished it on GameCube at release, but haven't played it since. Can't wait.
The old port was shit on a technical level, sure it was improved by modders or you could go the emulation route, but both those options are far from ideal and having a well-ported out of the box version on Steam is the far superior option.
Which version is this based on? Please say it's the Gamecube or Wii-version since those two have a higher amount of polygons and superior water effects. Yeah those two aspects are important since the game is starting to show its age.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAPCOM RELEASE IT WITH GOOD CONTROLLER SUPPORT!
People will probably mod this one, too.Aren't the fan-made texture mods better than what this release will have to offer?
Of course someone would say this. What would make it ultimate for you?does not look so ultimate.
