I think the movie will be good, but whoever was in charge of designing the covers/poses did a poor job for the most part. Many of the characters just look downright silly, but I'm sure they'll work in the context of the film.

Bishop looks fucking awesome, though. So happy he's in this, as he was my favorite X-Man back when I read the comics in the early '90s.


I'd love for DoFP to be huge and to get a hard-core, multi-film X-Tinction Agenda adaptation.

And that reasoning is really lame. Unstoppable to me means busting through walls. If there was a giant building and the X-Men were hiding inside, I would rather see a 2-storey sentinel just walk through it compared to just sliding through a crack somehow.

Looks like Nimrod. Self healing, sleek, probably smarter than the average mutant hunter. Seems like they went straight from the prototype, right to the future, and skipped the classic Sentinel. As a plot choice, I can see it, but I think it's a mistake to not have the recognizable big purple robots in the film, at one point, for fan service.

The only character I feel that was nailed perfectly was Nightcrawler, both aesthetically and Alan Cumming's performance.
I did like Marsden as Cyke, although it seems most around here didn't care for that one.

I think the character was written poorly (whiny, instead of a leader with conviction), but Marsden played the role well. He certainly looked it.

I think magnetic plates are perfect for fighting a group of people who's most dangerous person is the master of magnetism.

I should also add that casting Patrick Stewart as Prof.X was dream casting. Absolutely perfect.
Ian McKellen definitely grew on me. It was always a treat having his acting chops, but I guess I had gotten used to the Jim Lee/muscle-jacked Magneto with long white hair.

True, but he's severely weakened when we see at the end of Wolverine, so it's possible they built it knowing he wouldn't have the strength to take it down.
