Im turning on the tv right as the game starts. I have been able to bring myself to watch any coverage. The wounds are still to fresh. Damn you kaepernick!

Should be a great game!

First time in history the 2 teams playing are from 2 states that are legal for the fans of the teams to forget what the fuck is going on and fall asleep halfway through the game.

I did put down the sword of worrying about people's bandwagons because I guess I don't care really, and if you want to root for the Broncos with me even if you are here for the QB, who am I to say otherwise?

Hear, hear. My girlfriend was a big Colts fan - or so she thought - but when they let Manning go, she realized she was actually just a Manning fan.

Coincidentally, we decided to move in together just as Manning signed with the Broncos, my team. I jokingly told her daughters that being able to root for the same team was the reason we decided to live together, but there's a grain of truth there. Can you imagine if I'd told her "you can't root for the Broncos, you're not a real fan"? Ridiculous.

wow he was into heroin? didnt know he checked himself into rehab for it last year. man if he got some of the heroin that been lace with fentanyl thats spreading across the northeast that'll be so sad

  • Pumpkin Chili
  • Homemade Buffalo Wings
  • Homemade Garlic Parmesan Wings
  • Taco Dip
  • Potato Skins
  • Skillet Cornbread
  • Lots of craft beer

Should be enough for 4 people, right?

Florida and North Carolina also have a massive retiree population.

Joe Namath looks like Ric Flair right now. Drunk as fuck.

Next Browns qb.

Heading off to an American-themed bar at lunch to watch this. Unsure whether I'll drink... depends how the Seahawks do, I guess. Should be fun, though. First time I've been able to watch American football with a crowd. Usually, I just have to watch on Game Pass and have GAF as my socialising.

Go Hawks. :)

WTF IS THIS SHIT!?

after Manning retires and Luck wins 2 SBs back to back, in order to hop back on the bandwagon she will have to complete the SLAT (Spindasher Lifelong Assessment Test) in order to be affiliated with my Colts again.

In no way, shape, or form is this sort of behavior acceptable unless you're an admitted Manning Family lifelong like Tabris who is beyond saving.

Peyton Manning is already the best QB of this generation no matter what happens to him tonight.

I don't even know why a confirmed cheater is even put in the same conversation as Manning. It's like the people that still swear that Barry Bonds is the home run king.

Tom Brady is not a champion. If he was in Major League Baseball, he would be barred from the Hall of Fame like "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.

I don't understand why everyone is so eager to wash away the sins of the Patriots. Does it just make it easier to say the games were on the level? Is it about protecting the legacy and integrity of the league?

Tom Brady and the Patriots cheated their way to three Super Bowl Championships in the early 2000s. They used cameras to film their opponent's practices, and knew every defensive signal.

The experts that say "well, they had to execute with those stolen plays" are absolutely insane. Knowing what play the other team is running on every play is a huge advantage.

Those Super Bowls and playoff games were close games. It wasn't just a coincidence that they were able to come back in those games and pull them off. They cheated. They shouldn't be celebrated as the greatest team of our generation. They made a mockery of the game.

The evidence was burned by the commissioner, because the truth was too damaging to the league.

Manning's critics seem to judge him on standards set by Tom Brady and his team, who had their hand in stealing a few Super Bowl opportunities from Manning. When you introduce poisonous franchises like the Patriots into the league you ruin it for everyone else.

The fact that no one is willing to admit that the Patriots cheated and that their success is in large part due to that cheating is astonishing to me.

Well done my friend.

This is Neogaf though. You would have dumped her ass along time ago for being a sharp knee having lifelong!

;)

This year will be the first in a LONG TIME I'm not at a Super Bowl Party. Makes me a bit sad since that's the best part of the Super Bowl to me. That and the commercials :P

last I checked the spread is 2.5 in favor of denver

edit: fixed

Line is typically driven by the betting public. Seattle opened up a 1 point favorite via Vegas, betting money moved the line. Basically says Vegas favors the Hawks ever so slightly. Ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

If NFL-GAF had a doctrinal statement of faith this would be it.

All its missing is how Ray Lewis and Warren Sapp belong in prison, Josh Freeman and Matthew Stafford are fat fat fatties, Ben totally raped a bunch of fat chicks, and that Cleveland will never, ever be good.

Also buttfumble.

Vegas lines have nothing to do with who they think will win. It is just based on projections about how many people will bet a certain way. Vegas wants the money to split, and not be super one sided.

Beers are cooked.
Meat is sizzling.
This is a great day to celebrate Derrick Brooks' induction into the Hall of Fame. Happy to see so many people participating.

Go Hawks. Predicting 31-27 Seattle with a beastquake and a pick being the deciding factors. I really like Peyton as a player so I hope we don't injure him.

I'm seriously considering watching the game at home online because every Superbowl party I've ever been to (even when the Packers are in it) is mostly a bunch of people who are there for the food and the commercials. No one really pays attention to the game and I spend most of the time explaining the rules of the sport to people with a glazed look on their faces to which they usually respond with "I like college better".

Sigh.
