Yep all week Jose was saying how Chelsea couldnt compete with City yet and it led Pellegrini to believe his team were so superior they could get away with playing a man less in midfield then Chelsea despite their main ball winning midfielder being injured.

Brilliant, brilliant result today. Superb tactically and well executed. Hazard, Matic, and the defending were all brilliant. I thought we should've had at least another goal and that definitely should've been a red at the end, but I'll take the 3 points. City had a few chances, but Cech made good saves or we were lucky that they didn't take advantage of them. Even Willian looked decent in the second half (especially on corners), after another facepalm inducing first half. I love how everybody expected us to park the bus and we didn't and got all 3 points. Mou is superb at motivating the squad for these big games. He's the biggest reason we won today.

That wasted 4vs1. That was something.

Some great Chelsea performance, quite interested to see them in the UCL now, they've started not that well but they're coming into form.

You have to remember that Salah and Matic are cup-tied! So an injury in the wrong position and we are fucked and our midfield looks sloppy without Matic!

wake to find out chelsea won??? oh why didnt i bet for an upset!?

can tell how important fernandinho and aguero is to the city set up

Indeed. Many veterans have stopped giving a shit. Evra can fuck off he's disinterested.

I thought this was a good article about Rio, saying how he should take example from JT

Maybe its because I don't like Rio, but I agreed with the article. Moyes needed leaders, didn't get them seemingly and he needs a big clear out in the summer.

Edit: Helps if you post the link

I have been wondering about the fear factor at United, undoubtably Fergie had it, you never crossed him, you played for him, you gave 100%. I dont see this with Moyes, maybe his comments in the transfer period were meant to scare some of the players, I dunno I just dont see alot of urgency in the team when we play, some players seriously amble around like they dont give a fuck.

I don't believe in that crap. "They're not playing for the shirt," or " They're not putting in the effort" or "They look like they don't care" excuses have no way of being quantified. How on earth would any of us know? When I watch them play I don't see a lack of effort. I see shit football.

For example, Evra has been shit since 2011. Last season he contributed goals so it wasn't bad as the other 3 seasons, but he was still shit defensively. That has nothing to do with playing under a new manager and not getting behind him. He's just past it now.

Remember Januzaj's goal against Sunderland? Chicha's goal against Sunderland in the league cup? RVP's goal against Arsenal? To me it looks like they care when they're celebrating like that. Remember Ronaldo in 2009 at the start of the season? That to me looked like he didn't care anymore. He was scoring goals and didn't feel like celebrating. I'm not seeing that with the current group.

The problem is down to the style of football. It's not getting the best out of the talent at United. No it's not good enough to win the title with that midfield and injuries, but it's good enough to be in 3rd and 4th. If you gave United 2 good midfielders, the potential would be raised to a title winning squad.

edit: Just remembered that United didn't want Hazard because of the 6 million euros the agent wanted. Clearly that wasn't worth it, but Bebe was worth 7 million euros.

If you have CL then of course Liverpool go for him. However were Kroos actually available I've no doubt that the oil clubs would just throw money at him, surely out of reach.

some of those oil clubs are loaded with players, so cant see him going there. i do fancy having martinez, he'd be great for us, if only aye

bayern gaf, where is kroos best deployed at??? ive only seen him play behind the striker and sometimes taking over schweini's role

Man I'm just never around for afer dark anymore. Kid A you around? It's about to go down

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

not Odd! What the hell did he do/say?!

Reports have emerged that Manchester United winger Nani had been set to join Juventus on transfer deadline day only for injury concerns to draw the Bianconeri out of discussions.

The Turin outfit had looked set to seal a loan deal for the Portugal international at the last hour but were forced to abandon their pursuit as the extent of his current injury became clear and there was insufficient time to complete the medical.

According the the Metro, the Bianconeri were not willing to take a chance on the player and pulled out of the deal after finding out that his current injury situation was worse than expected and he could face another six weeks on the sidelines.

Sneaky Woodward.

Word here is that Laudrup could be sacked on Monday if he doesn't get a result against Cardiff. He's meeting with the board this morning where they'll let him know about the importance of the derby.

LOL. Swansea to commit suicide. Wait until the end of the season for that shit you mellons.

Has common sense completely left our sport? Swansea can't possibly get a better manager than Laudrup. I mentioned the other day they are not having the best of seasons but do they think they can appoint a better manager? Who? I also love how unappreciative clubs are. Laudrup won those chumps a trophy last season, got them their first win at OT at Moyes expense this season, all with their bullshit budget and this is the thanks he gets? Patience has left our sport and has been replaced with ungratefulness.

Wait for Everton to fire Martinez now for losing a derby 4-0.

Lazio's Lotito “Hernanes for €17m? They can buy his left foot for that. We are talking about a player who is not for sale.”

*a week later*

Hernanes was sold for €20m. So apparently the rest of him is worth €3m? :lol

That was a good buy, not what Inter needed, but still a good buy but still a bit pissed off with Inter's management over the Guarin treatment. Why the fuck did they do that...

Falcao would be a massive risk, being close to 30 and coming off a major injury.

That ship has sailed, I'm afraid.

Agreed. No interest in Falcao at this point. Nothing to do with his age, I just don't rate him against comparable strikers in that price range. He would cost twice what Aguero cost and would likely be half as effective. The knee injury is also a red flag.

I want Lukaku to be given a legit chance to lead the frontline. Plus, we might have the next Michael Owen in Patrick Bamford...but probably not.

Falcao is a damn, damn shame. Wasted too many years at B level clubs. Hell, we haven't even got to see him play the CL. It's a crime.

Dante Bonfim Costa ‏@dante_bonfim 1 Min.

In the final of the @SuperBowl it was shown again. Offense wins games and defense wins Championships. Sometimes people forget this mantra.

lol Dante. Who tought you the word "mantra".

Which strikers can be got though?

Cavani will be VERY hard to get out of PSG. Suarez won't be sold to another PL club, Aguero won't be sold to another PL club. Rooney is expected to stay at United. Who cares about the cunt RVP, he's too old and made of fibreglass.

The options are limited with the top bracket of strikers. Costa there's no guarantee he will be a success.

At this rate, they're going to finish below 10th. We're literally a few points away from having double their tally. :lol :lol

delicious
Anderson did give the interview, it was on TV.

He actually said:

I think he's only talking about himself and Nani.

and really, who cares about Nani?

except for Conte, of course.
