I don't remember the game being this blurry on PS4
I think this is base PS4 version. Pro and PS5 BC is 1080p.

Have you ever used a plasma?what the fuck
I don't usually mess around with ENBs and similar mods, but I tried this new preset for KCD 1 and it's honestly incredible. It really brings the colors and overall atmosphere much closer to the second game. Extremely well done.

Sounds interesting, I'll give it a try later. I saw there's a mod that adds ray tracing to KCD, but I never tested it. If the game already runs kinda rough without RT, imagine with it on. I also saw a mod that adds DLSS 3.5, but I didn't try that either, and if I remember right it had some technical issues.
I'm still waiting for an update to the mod that adds native HDR support to KCD, but so far nothing.
I don't get the question. I wrote earlier in the thread I play on plasma since 2013. So yes?Have you ever used a plasma?
Missed that part. But then you should know how great gaming on a plasma feels.I don't get the question. I wrote earlier in the thread I play on plasma since 2013. So yes?
Of course, but I never played on OLED TV and so just naturally assumed that it is superior due to being much newer tech (and reading all the time how good it is on forums like this one).Missed that part. But then you should know how great gaming on a plasma feels.
Yeah, 60fps is why I've stuck with the plasma on my consoles. I've made two attempts to switch to OLED TVs but didn't find it worth losing the motion clarity at 60hz. They're amazing at native 4k144 but not so much at 1440p60.This is new information for me. And very surprising. Aren't most games on consoles 60fps? And most PC gamers also still target 60. Strange to read new technology is inferior at such critical aspect.
I do love how smooth and sharp games look at 60fps on the plasma though, that's true.
They're different. I love my OLED lg c1 but it's quite a different experience than playing on a plasmaOf course, but I never played on OLED TV and so just naturally assumed that it is superior due to being much newer tech (and reading all the time how good it is on forums like this one).
Don't get me wrong, OLED is amazing, but nothing (aparts from CRT) beats the motion clarity of a plasma. I still miss my plasma a lot, it kicked the bucket a few years ago and I still mourn the loss.Of course, but I never played on OLED TV and so just naturally assumed that it is superior due to being much newer tech (and reading all the time how good it is on forums like this one).
QD-OLED does not give a shit if it's sunny. They're different. I love my OLED lg c1 but it's quite a different experience than playing on a plasma
My biggest complaint against OLED is that they're shit if it's sunny
Fascinating. Now I regret not buying 65" plasma when they were still made and getting "only" 55 xDYeah, 60fps is why I've stuck with the plasma on my consoles. As to why plasmas are smoother, it's basically for the same reason that many of us still love CRTs and nvidia's new Pulsar monitors are becoming a thing. Plasmas are also 'pulsed' displays so they benefit in the same ways. They still don't match CRTs but they're much closer to those than regular LCDs and OLEDs.
The picture on my QD-OLED monitor looks worse on a sunny day (10% contrast lost), but it's still watchable and I wouldn't describe it as bad. Typical plasma or CRT had real problems on sunny days. The picture looked washed out because of the grey plasma panel/CRT tube. During the day, the contrast was washed out (lost) by 70%.They're different. Damn this game is goooooood
Yeah, it is one of the best ever and I'm enjoying replaying it, but god-damn is this version unstable. It's already crashed on me 4 or 5 times losing me hours of progress and the intro quest also bugged out meaning I had to replay it. I've taken to heavy drinking to limit the damage! It's one of the GOATs, no doubt. Enjoy!
How many fps bro?Damn this game is goooooood
I also don't use such mods because they are inconsistent. In some areas they look great and in some other they look completely wrong.I don't usually mess around with ENBs and similar mods, but I tried this new preset for KCD 1 and it's honestly incredible. Its unique and great western rpg experience, there is a reason reviewers only gave the game 76 score on its best version(pc), console versions got even less 69 on ps4, 68 on xbone- game is based and hard, thats 2 kryptonites already and easily -15 metascore brownie points right thereIt's one of the GOATs, no doubt. Enjoy!
The PS5Pro is the best version of the game. It runs over 30fps even in indoors. The PC version runs at over 100 fps, which is too high and can cause motion sickness. So, yes, guys, play the game on the PS5 Pro.

1 or 2? Cause 2 is 1 on steroids.Ok, I'm 45 hours in, in 3 days. Guys. I think this is one of the best games ever made so far, holy shit.
1 or 2? Cause 2 is 1 on steroids.
2 is 1 with many QoL added, better graphics, same, but refined mechanics and tremendous story.First game.
Getting ready for the second.
I'm going to think the second should have got game of the year and is the new of the greatest games ever made, aren't I?

No sarcasmSarcasm?
We now have two sources showing sub-60 fps on the PS5 Pro. I doubt the DF video will show a different picture. Since they started working independently, we need to wait a long time for their analysis, and I'm not even sure if we will ever see their video about this PS5 / PS5Pro update for KCD.No way it's dropping to 30s the on ps5 pro. Let's wait for DF.
I'm over 100 FPS pretty much at all times with mostly ultra settings and max draw distance.

Is there such a demanding house somewhere in Rattay City? So far, the houses I have visited run at 73–85 fps in 4K with the Ultra settings preset.Ultra SVOGI is crazy expensive indoors. It even drops to 40fps on my 4070TI SUPER with native 4K.
It drops below VRR window in some houses so it's less than 48FPS 100%.
Taking a break ftom my Fallout 4 replay and started this yesterday night. Here's a tip to get you started. Collect nettles to unlock secret perk.![]()

Escaped my burning village in the prologue overencumbered with 467 nettles in my inventory.
I did you proud![]()
OK, but where exactly is that house? Could you share the GPS coordinatesThis house in opening area is like that, they even used it in benchark you posted, haha. Ultra vs. v. high.

v. high benchmark for 6800 is much easier to run. Using Ultra on consoles is not very logical...
OK, but where exactly is that house? Could you share the GPS coordinates(or just the location on the map)?

Yep, second game is pretty damn amazing.First game.

I think there is literally the one bugged house that for whatever reason Warhorse never fixed since OG release. In general this is not what you are going to see with 99% of the game.Is there such a demanding house somewhere in Rattay City? I think Very High is just fine. I don't remember Ultra bringing in that much on top.I'm playing on my pc and it's running insane.
Is there a point to bother using ultra or should I stick to very high with a 5080?
I also turned all the draw distances to full. Not sure if there's a point in that.
But anyway. 45 hours play time. I've not left the first town properly yet.
Jeeesus this game is like Witcher levels of amazing. Better in many ways.
It's prologue likeMidGenRefresh said.
Notice that lighting is completely borked this time around on Pro, but still drops well below 48FPS. Looks like this remaster is very buggy.
Yes, the best results are achieved with very high settings at 4K. Even in the glitched house, I see 100 fps, while outside it's often 130-140 fps.I think Very High is just fine. I don't remember Ultra bringing in that much on top.
And yeah, the game is deep and has a ton of quests, NPCs and great storytelling.
The Ryzen 3600 in consoles would not be able to do stable 120fps. But I do agree Saber should have set lighting option to very high instead of ultra on consoles, that would pretty much eliminate the drops below 60.This game could run at 1440p 120fps with very high settings, or 1800p and a locked 60 fps on the PS5 Pro
