What I really want is for the producers to start cutting the weakest actors even if it's not what's in the comics. Daryl was not from the comics (so I've heard) and he's one of the strongest aspects of the show. They just need to do whatever is best for the show...
What I'm getting at, is that Carl needs to die as soon as possible. Kid is awful in every scene. Sometimes he's so bad it makes me dislike that I even watch the show.
Get rid of him. Fill the time with someone interesting who can actually act. People who are interesting on screen.

Funny thing is I don't hate Carl anymore. He's been fine this season and has shown improvement. He won't be going anywhere and I'm interested to see how he improves.

I would be okay with anyone dying except Rick, Daryl, Jessie, Abraham, and probably Glenn. I liked him very much in the last couple of episodes.
We didn't see that much of him this season, did we?

Daryl death ship sailed in S2, he brings in way, way, way too many viewers to kill off. You won't see him go until the ratings slip so bad they need some shock value to bring people back in. At this point Rick has a higher chance of dying.

Same. I caught a few episodes of season 2 because a friend was catching up on the series and Carl has come a long way from the annoying useless kid from those seasons

Excited for the finale. Really have no idea who could bite it. Glenn or Carol maybe. Gabriel has to be dealt with in some way.

I like how the episode trailers portrayed Deanna as some sort of morally ambiguous bad person. It'd be really funny if she turned out to be hardcore evil though.

If walkers were the only threat I'd agree. I think having them around would make it more difficult for people to sneak up on the place, like an extra layer of defence.
