I was wondering.. How do you guys think Rick and company would do if the zombies (ok walkers) were like the ones in the Dawn of the Dead remake. Personally, I think they would be screwed..

Everyone would be dead within an hour. Even Carol.
Okay, maybe not Carol, but certainly everyone else!

Ehhh....

DALTON: How would you describe the season finale on Sunday?

I don’t know what I’m at liberty to tell you, but clearly like any good finale, certain things are brought to a head. But unlike a symphony, not much is brought to a resolution.

This sort of kills my hype for the finale. From what she says, it feels like it's gonna be a 90 minute episode of Cliffhangers'R'Us.

Outside of the herd attacking Alexandria in the final scene, I can't really think of what else could be left as a cliffhanger? Surely The Wolves/Scavengers won't be stretched out into next season...

I don't think the herd will even be considered at this point. And yeah, I fear that Peter Anderson will live into next season, Rick won't yet be named leader of Alexandria, and we'll only get a minor tease with the Wolves finally revealed but they'll be stretched into next season as the "new villains". I guess it shouldn't surprise us considering they teased us with their eventual arrival in pretty much every episode of the back half but I thought it would've made it that much more impactful if Rick and crew dispatched them instantly on sight. Don't wanna jump to conclusions yet of course but I'll definitely be going into this finale with a cautious sense of optimism now.

Yeah, all of that would be disappointing if true, but I can't imagine that (speculation)
nothing of importance will happen in a 90 minute finale episode.

Ill never forget the small mushroom cloud in my mind caused by this.

Waiting for tomorrow is painful, and 90 minutes for this finale, series first? Yeah, am thinking a main character is going to die. I'm guessing Sasha or Carol.

If they kill Sasha I am going to be pissed. A part of me still hopes she will start carrying around a hammer later on.

I bet they kill Maggie and the preacher.

Anyone else worried that Morgan won't be able to live up to the hype if he does return, especially if it's as a series regular. All too soon the intrigue and glamour will be gone and then you're left with just another character. I kind of think it would be better to keep the teases but never actually reach rick and co.

especially if tv Morgan has the same fate as comic Morgan.

Season finale tonight!

Conquer

In the Season 5 finale, Daryl experiences trouble on a run. Meanwhile, Rick and his group continue to feel like outsiders in Alexandria, where trouble is creeping into the gates.

The episode was directed by Greg Nicotero and was written by Scott Gimple!

The guest stars on tonight's Talking Dead are:

Norman Reedus (Daryl)
Melissa McBride (Carol)
Scott Gimple (showrunner)
and a special surprise cast member!

I'll try to stay positive and keep an open mind about whatever happens in the finale. I know the plot needs to be structured in particular way, especially since TWD does these two part seasons.

Just watched last week's episode. Fuck Michonne. That scene was building so much in hype and then she just fucking ruined it. Rick the fucking GAWD. Ugh. Really deflated everything.

So comic fans will we or won't we

*comic spoiler*

(seriously no peeking)

see Carl get shot in the face tonight or the end of the first episode of next season

Honestly?
If darryl dies tonight I would need that 'bad ass' role filled by Morgan... Who knows with the kirkman-remix

Watching the S5 marathon and I'm surprised that none of the characters said something like "He's a person." when Dawn said she had a claim on Noah.

We're taking bets? I'd say Gabriel and Sasha are the most likely to die. They're not killing Daryl anytime soon. I could see Carol dying, but I hope not.

They cannot kill 66% of the significant black characters on the show.

They literally cannot do that.

They already killed Bob, Ty, and Noah. Killing Gabriel and Sasha would mean they had recently reduced the black cast by 80%.

They cannot.

Rick is the only reason I watch these days. Always liked him... TWD show, in my mind, is Rick's story.

He's the best actor on the show and has the most charisma on screen. It would be just pure boring shit if he left. imo.

I predicted Daryl would've gotten the boot this season but he hasn't had a lot of big scenes in the past couple episodes.

The pattern on this show is that if a character other than Rick or Carl get a boost in screentime, they're probably about to get offed.

So I don't see Daryl dying this finale.
