10 years of "Stronger."

I think I fell in love with a porn star
And got married in a bathroom
Honeymoon on the dance floor
And got divorced by the end of the night
That’s one hell of a life

I can't really believe what I'm reading, especially considering your Jai Paul avatar... I absolutely love Kanye but Stronger is quite possibly the worst track he has ever made by quite the margin and one of the worst singles of the entire 21st century so far, if I'm being honest. Why is this turd being celebrated? Oo
Alright, you can't just "walk" in here and drop that loaded bomb of a statement. Please explain why "Stronger" is one of the 21st century's worst singles.

All those engineers and it basically just sounds like the original Daft Punk track.

Not one of Kanye's better songs imo. Flashing Lights is great though.

One of the worst beats he ever crafted, doubly so since it ruins a classic, terrible lyrics (more than usual), one of his worst recorded flows (cringingly bad) and it all comes together with such a tacky glaze. It's quite literally disgusting. Don't understand what is going on here at all. Horrible, horrible song.

Don't know if anyone has already said it but The Glory is the best song on the album. Top 10 Kanye track. Cocky Kanye at his greatest.

My Hat
My Shoes
My Coat

Spaceship
Through the Wire
Touch the Sky
Heard Em Say
Diamonds Remix
Hey Mama
Gone
The Glory
Gorgeous
Runaway

No real order

it's a good song bro. so is the original. that's the point of a sample. sorry you caught feelings.

Thing is, I literally can't fathom how it can be condidered a good song. HBFS is a gem and while I love Kanye (Late Registration and MBDTF are two of my fav albums ever), Stronger is literally disgusting to me. As in, one of the very worst pueces of music to ever exist. Pretty big fan of Graduation as an album, Champion, Everything I Am, The Glory and Homecoming are all great tracks I never tire of... Stronger just makes me nauseous it's so bad. I see no redeeming qualities in it whatsoever. Just pure unfiltered crap.

sorry you got mad about a sample. it doesn't make the sample or the song bad.

It's not about the sample at all, personally. It's everything else, I see nothing good in the song. It's just horrible through and through.
For reference, I was quite hyped about the song before the release, as a big fan of both Daft Punk and Kanye, the idea seemed great on paper.

Ten years of pissed off Daft Punk fans saying Kanye has no talent because he sampled, while they don't realized Daft Punk copied and pasted the song.

have we discussed the line "I hate these niggas more than a Nazi"?

does he hate these dudes more than he hates Nazis or more than a Nazi hates black people?

I thought he was saying "I hate these niggas more than Anansi" like Anansi, the West African spider god trickery ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Great song, one of his last quality songs. Not even close to a masterpiece though.

Hold my liquor is the pinnacle of music. Play it on a Saturday night to the function. PLAY IT I dare you.

If I had any editing skills, I would try to splice in that song with footage from Blade Runner 2049. I was listening to it yesterday and thought to myself "Damn, this sounds like some real sci-fi type shit now that I think about it"

I was never feeling this one, to be honest...despite all the work that went into the track, it still just sounds like a basic remix of the original. Much prefer Champion and Can't Tell Me Nothing from that album.

10 years since the release of this masterpiece.

A highlight of Graduation, "Stronger" is one of the best pop songs Kanye West has ever made. The stories behind this song's production are insane too. Kanye recorded this song with 8 audio engineers, 11 mix engineers, and ended up with close to 50 different versions of this track. Kanye ended up getting Timbaland in the studio because the drums weren't sounding the way he envisioned, a conclusion he reached after mixing "Stronger" 75 times and still feeling dissatisfied with the drums. Besides the technical side of this song's creation, this was the first collaboration between Kanye and Daft Punk, a relationship that ended up blessing the world with "On Sight" and "Black Skinhead." Here's the three of them performing at the Grammys. Fuck, even the way he intro's the song during his live songs is so fucking dope. The best one though has to be his Coachella performance of it (around the 25 minute mark).

I first heard "Stronger" at a dorky middle school dance. That song changed my life because it introduced me to Daft Punk and "Alive 2007" and basically helped me get into music in the first place. I consider it a top 10 track of his discography, because it's a damn flawless blend of techno, hip-hop, and pop sensibility that's catchy as hell. It's a perfect club banger. So, talk about your memories with this song.

Top 10 Kanye songs: Runaway, On Sight, Blood on The Leaves, Street Lights, Stronger, Flashing Lights, Touch The Sky, Hey Mama, Roses, Lost in The World

Top 10 invalidated by not including Gone.

Scust.

I remember hearing a snippet of the song on entourage before it was officially released

it never really lived up to the pre release hype

His sample at least re-contextualized the source material relatively well. I heard one Machine Gun Kelly song once that ripped off the chorus hook from a Fastball song and just shook my head sadly.

My intro to Kanye. What a fantastic song. They don't make rap music like this anymore...
neither does Kanye
