is there any website or plugin that can be used to make sorting through these videos easier?

going through 12,000 videos just 20 at a time will take forever. my browser would probably crash even if i could load up all 12,000 thumbnails

This is the list of performers from their main site. Not all are on the YT channel (Prince for example), but you can then search the YT channel for whoever you may be interested in.

Such an awesome archive. Thanks, OP!

Edit:

Badass, it works! Use hateradio's latest YouTube Me Again! to embed YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo, Vine, Gfycat, MP4 and WebM, etc.

Make sure you get the latest version: http://neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=120274078&postcount=231

Wow I am so jealous of the new generations...this channel is much much better than anything we had in the goddamn 90's and 00's

I wasn't going to sleep anyway...

This is one of those things that's simply too good to be true. When is it going to be taken away from me by a record label?

Make sure you use the resources on the official site as well to find more stuff.

They even uploaded an incredibly rare 60 minute George Carlin set from 1979.

I'm using musicvault.com to browse, but linking to Youtube videos because the player is better.

Styx - Come Sail Away, 1978 - quality is pretty dire compared to the other sources on here, but it's a great performance.
Scorpions - Coast to Coast, 1985 - lots of fun seeing them playing this song, but the tuning sounds off from the studio recording? <3 Scorpions.
Scorpions - The Zoo, 1985 - this is probably my favourite recording of this song... actually, second behind the one that went on the Unbreakable tour DVD.
Billy Squier - The Stroke, 1981 - I just really like the guitar in this one.
Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia, 1979 - all I see is note charts. The horror.
Joe Satriani - Surfing With the Alien, 1989
Lynyrd Skynyrd - The Needle and the Spoon, 1975

I reaallyyyyy wish that Motley Crue concert had a better recording :(

I was searching different groups from the list of artists, and I found that Slade's material was already pulled due to copyright complaints. Like they have anything to lose from their material being up for viewing. I would have assumed that there were already contracts in place that cleared these videos.

That really sucks. I have a huge Youtube music playlist of live tracks and probaby 20% have been pulled because of copyright. Hey music industry geniuses - they are live tracks unavailable anywhere else.

This is insane. How is this legal?

I should be able to find some shows that I saw since they have a lot from Shoreline in Mountain View, CA.

I think Billy Squier's backing band consists only of other Billy Squiers -- and a Stray Cat on bass:

I've always found Billy Squier's band to be fascinating.

You have a fat drummer (how often do you see one of those?), a 80s stereotype on keyboards, that stray cat guy on bass, and a guy that looks like his brother.
