Disturbing lack of people mentioning John Wick 2 in here.

Because it makes me think about how a sequel to the other best action movie of the decade isn't on the list.

Dredd 2

Wait... why does Prometheus 2 say March 2016? Wouldn't it already be well into production if so?
I mean, I know Ridley works fast, but 2017 seems more believable.

But Sadly no Tron 3.

Also i'm going to be that guy and say I don't have a problem with sequels. They continue stuff that I loved in the first place usually. Though granted I do still want to see original ideas.

so many of these are complete bullshit. men in black 4? expendables 4 and 5?
Did you miss the Sony Email Hack fiasco? Not only do they want to make another MiB movie, but they're talking about crossing it over with the Jump Street franchise at some point too.

Hopefully after 23 Jump Street though because I am veeeerrrryyy interested in seeing how they've figured out how to make all the "sequels" from the end of 22JS canon.

Still can't believe they are making a sequel to Project X, one of the worst films I have ever seen in theatres. I wanted to walk out multiple times, but it would have been rude to the ticket buyer.

According to IMDB, there will be 4,555 films coming out in 2015 in the U.S. alone that are released, completed, or in post-production (I've excluded announced, and ones in pre-production).

I'm sure the world will be okay.

The question, of course, is how many of those films are films with any kind of decent budget and reasonably professional personnel behind the camera. Very few, I'm sure.

A lot of surprised satisfaction in here. =)

Don't get you're hopes up too much for everything in the list though. We were supposed to get a Tron sequel till Disney pulled the plug.

I actually know nothing about it, but want the sequel Project XX to do well enough for a third so they can call it Project XXX and just really confuse everyone.

Shouldn't be a surprise. I just saw Furious 7 and not ashamed to admit I enjoyed it.
Although they have to be running out of ideas to put the team together.

I mean, it grossed something like $1.4 billion

These aren't sequels I ever expected.

And yet, here I am, intrigued.

They've been making direct to video Tremors sequels for years; I'm amused the franchise has endured for 25 years but bummed that the popularity of old franchises hasn't managed to lure Bacon or Ward back to the fold yet, even in cameo roles.

That list doesn't include Child's Play 7/Chucky 7 and I know for a fact that the writer/director is currently working on the script per his twitter and interviews.

Super excited for that one.
